L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick comes in 10 shades. I have reviewed L’oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Impulsive Fuchsia from this range before.

Shade – L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Mauve Cherie is a mauve pink color. This shade can be a good neutral/ daily wear shade for medium skintones, however it might wash out deeper complexions (NC 45 and above).

Texture & Formula – L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick has a buttery texture, comparable to Revlon Lip Butters. Lipstick glids on smoothly without tugging or pulling. Mauve Cherie has fine shimmers but they don’t look obvious when applied and add to the shine of the lipstick. Formula is moisturizing, feels light weight and doesn’t make lips dry even if worn without a lip balm underneath. It doesn’t settle in fine lines. Lips feel dry only when formula wears off completely. I find these lipsticks so buttery that chances of it feathering out of lips are there.

Pigmentation – L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Mauve Cherie provides medium coverage. It evens out my lips and covers pigmentation. Color may appear different on different lips based on how pink or pigmented they are.

Staying Power – Due to its creamy texture L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Mauve Cherie stays on for less than 3 hours. I haven’t observed it bleeding or feathering out of lips.

Overall Thoughts

L’oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Mauve Cherie is a nice pink-mauve color. This color would be perfect for those who are looking for a daily wear shade and don’t want to wear browns. This shade would look good on fair to medium skintones and might wash out deeper complexions. Formula is buttery smooth and keeps lips moisturizing. Pigmentation is average and it covers lip discoloration to a great extent. Only downside is that it wears off in 2-3 hours and doesn’t leave any tint/stain behind.
