Packaging is similar to L’Oreal Paris True Match Powder. However due to bright pink accents, it looks quite fun and pretty. The compact has powder and in a separate compartment it also has a full size mirror and sponge. Its quite travel friendly and comes really handy for on-the-go touch ups. In this hot and sweaty weather of delhi it has become my travel companion.

Shades – There are 5 shades available out of which 3 start with G and rest two with N. I am guessing N stands for neutral since they have quite neutral tone, and G for golden and these two shades are meant for medium to deeper complexions. I was initially confused between N6 (Nude Honey) and G2 golden ivory but N6 is what I wear these days. Choosing your perfect shade can be quite confusing since they all look the same in the pan except for G7 which is the darkest.

Texture & Formula – despite of being matte, the texture of Mat Magique powders is quite smooth & non-chalky. I generally avoid matte products since my skin is dry-combination and such formulas look powdery/ cakey on me, however a light layer of this powder keeps my T-Zone shine free and doesn’t look cakey. The powder is finely milled and disappears into the skin providing a matte finish. Though it doesn’t stay shine free for a long time. Best part is that formula offers SPF 34 PA++ which is amazing considering that Indian weather is all about sun shining on our heads for 10 months in a year. Additional sun protection is always welcomed. L'Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder Review, Swatches, Photos (1)

As long as staying power is concerned, it keeps skin matte for good 3 hours, or unless you decide to take a walk in hot humid weather. even my skin which is dry-combi, starts looking shiny on the T-Zone after couple of hours.

Overall Thoughts

A good budget pressed powder that covers variety of skintones. L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder is a great everyday powder if you are looking for something to set makeup or a light dusting of powder to get rid of the dullness, however it wouldn’t control oil for more than 2-3 hours if you have oily skin.
