I love trying new bases and L’Oreal is one of the major brands providing excellent skin care and cosmetics. I wanted a heavy coverage foundation and the S.A. suggested me this one.

Shade I got the shade 140(golden Beige) in Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation which matches my NC35 skin tone very well. It has yellow undertones.

Packaging Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation has glass packaging with wine colored pump dispenser having a transparent cap over it. It is heavy but sturdy and easy to store. However, I find the dispenser getting messy very easily. The shade name and number are provided on the cap.

Texture & Formula The consistency of Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation is neither thick nor runny. It is easy to apply and blends seamlessly. The foundation provides a semi-matte finish that I like as I cannot carry very dewy foundations and very matte foundations.

The formula did not break me out but it does feel a bit heavy to me. One layer is comfortable but another layer makes me feel that I have something on my skin. It doesn’t feel cakey though. It doesn’t dry out the skin but if you have flaky skin, it can accentuate so proper exfoliation is necessary.

Pigmentation/Coverage Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation provides medium-full to almost coverage. It covers blemishes, redness and light marks in single layer. Heavy marks can also be concealed with this but dabbing a bit extra on problem areas.

Staying Power – I have worn Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation for 9+ hours without a primer and it did not oxidise .However, my T-zone got a bit oily after 5 hours. It doesn’t fade out or look patchy.

Overall Thoughts

Loreal Paris Infallible Lasting Perfecting Foundation is one of the best foundations I have. The formula is great and it is great for bridal wear. It gives a beautiful base to the skin. I like the finish and the staying power. However, it feels a bit heavy on skin. The foundation is good for photography too. Though, it claims to be for all skin types, I personally feel that this foundation is best suited for combination skin type as it provides a semi-matte finish which isn’t too matte nor too dewy. Those having dry skin can apply generous moisturiser underneath and those having oily skin can use a good mattifying primer and compact.
