L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation (Rs 1250)
Few days ago you might have seen my review on L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H liquid foundation, which was a product that impressed me. Today I am going to review another product from recently launched L’Oreal Infallible 24H Range – L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation.
With the rise in temperature I start using powder makeup products more, because sweat and heat makes my makeup melt. Also my dry skin turns combination with a shiny nose and T-Zone, so powder foundations are my best friends during warmer months. So when I saw L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation in the store , I had a bitter sweet feeling – sweet because now there is another powder foundation to try, bitter because there are only 4 shades available.
Lets talk about the packaging first, which has broken my heart TBH, why? because at such a price you would expect a sturdy case which can survive man-handling, I mean who knows when your hand shakes and case hits the floor. The packaging is quite flimsy with a heavy bottom, because it has a full size mirror and a sponge applicator housed there.
Shade – L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation is launched in 4 shades and as always I got the darkest one – Warm Sand which matches my face except for the darker areas i.e. around my mouth & forehead. Well thats not much of an issue since I go light handed on those areas and being someone with dry skin, I always avoid layering powder products , just to prevent ashy/cakey looking face. Warm Sand matches my NC42 skintone well, however if you are towards deeper complexion, I would highly recommend applying the product on the face before buying. The powder has beige almost neutral tone, which has worked for me.
Texture & Formula – Not the most finely milled product on the earth, however that doesn’t make it a difficult product to work with. I reach out to it because this product is quite close to my skintone hence the application is effortless and less un-natural. However if I try to layer it up, the formula ends up looking flaky/powdery on me. Its not one of those formulas that instantly blend into your skin. So for my girls with dry skin , I would highly recommend using a good moisturizer underneath so that the product glides on smoothly and look less cakey. If you don’t want to break the bank and looking for everyday light coverage product, try L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation.
Coverage – I would say light , you can layer the product up to get more coverage but chances of it being looking ashy or powdery are higher. In the picture below I have layered it up twice to show you how it covers redness/ acne marks and evened out skintone.
Overall Thoughts
If you have oily/combination skin and looking for a powder foundation that offers decent coverage then try L’oreal Paris Infallible 24H Powder Foundation. I find the formula slightly thick and difficult to work with, also the shade range is very limited with almost no shades for darker/deeper complexions. I was expecting a bit more at this price I must confess.

Am I the only one that gets annoyed with heavy mirror in flimsy packaging. Not a deterrent but a huge disappointment. And quite naive of Loreal to bring just 4 shades in a huge market like India 🙁
