We can see brands launching and introducing new products every month and that’s what taking me closer to bankruptcy .. haha  Well I feel sad when a brand launches an entire range and doesn’t introduce shades for darker complexions, by darker complexions I mean NC 42 and above. But believe me L’Oreal made me happy with 11 shades in their new Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation 24H in both warm (yellow) and cool (pink) tones.

I am in between shades – 320 & 300 . Initially I used only 300 for sometime but it used to look slightly ashy on areas where I have darkness i.e. mouth & forehead, though the shade matched rest of my face nicely. I have done a Video Review & Demo of L’oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation also , sometime around last month.

Texture & Formula – I would say that the formula is more suited towards normal to combination skin. Texture is bit thick but blends easily and effortlessly. I have applied it using both sponge & brush however my favorite method of applying foundation  would always be sponge. Sponge helps in achieving light coats and even distribution of the product. I have dry to normal skin and I don’t really feel the need to use a powder on the top since it doesn’t look overly dewy or glowy. It has almost semi-matte finish to it. I am sure the formula would work equally well for oily skin people.

I mix both 320 & 300 on the back of my hand and then mix them and apply the custom color.

Coverage – I would say the coverage is anywhere between medium to buildable. You can apply a light layer still the foundation covers blemishes and uneven-ness. I generally find one layer good for me. Since the weather in delhi is hot and packing up foundation isn’t a good choice. You can feel the foundation on you, but that doesn’t make it heavy. You can see the coverage in the below picture, I have only one layer of foundation on the right side of my face and it has completely evened out the tone.

Staying Power – L’oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation stays on for good 6+ hours on me that too without a primer. I top it off with a powder when I want the foundation to stay on for a longer time.

Overall Thoughts

If you are in the market looking for a good foundation that doesn’t look matte or cakey, then L’oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation is a good choice. There are number of shades to choose from. Only downside is the price which is a bit steep.
