L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream ! This is something totally new to me. Never have I used any product of this sort. So, this product that claims itself to be an oil replacement cream sound tempting and exciting.

L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream is the latest product on my shelf. I begin using every new hair product with a hope that I will be able to regain the shine in my tresses. The sweat and oiliness in my scalp makes my hair dull and limp looking the very next day after I wash my hair; I hate the summer season.

With mixed feelings of how this oil-in-cream performs on my hair, penning down the review. I like this, I am not satisfied, I don’t like it, yet I like the smoothness it gave to my hair; after lot of confusion I conclude that it is good enough to be bought again.

Package: Packed in a large tube which has flip cap opening is leakage free. Press slightly on the middle of the tube, and the product will run down the opening hole.

Since the packaging is bulky, I am not really sure if it can be carried around in your travel bag. Unless you reach the point that you cannot live without this oil-in-cream for your hair, you need not take this along with you.

Texture: The texture is mid-way, a little thin and runny yet it will not drip. It melts right in your palm. On the scalp and hair, it is easy to spread around and thus makes application effortless.

The minute you apply this cream, hair feels wet and slippery. There is no greasiness or oiliness.

Fragrance: It has extremely mild smell that is really very pleasant. The fragrance is not overpowering and your hair strands smells of this wonderful fragrance for at least 2 days.

How to use: It can be used in 3 different ways

• Massage on scalp and hair, leave it overnight for intense nourishment.
• Leave on for 30 minutes before shampooing and rinsing off.
• Apply on lengths and tips after shampooing.

I hate leaving oil or any other hair product over night. I have had skin problems many a times when I have done that. So, the first method of using this oil-in-cream is ruled out for me.

I have tried the second and third method of using, and did prove good for my hair.

Leaving just 30 minutes can be too short a time. I prefer at least 2 hours after which I wash off as usual.

I also use this oil-in-cream in place of my regular hair-conditioner.

Once washed and towel dried, you can feel the smoothness in your hair. Run your fingers, and you will feel how easily fingers slip in between your tresses. The smoothness is really achieved, but I am not very satisfied with the shine. My hair hardly gets lustrous, which means it does not look healthy.

I love the concept of replacing the oil with this cream. But Oil is Oil. The effects are different, which you will definitely agree upon using this oil-in-cream.
