L’Oreal Paris Color Riche LA Palette Nude Rose offers a mix of matte & shimmery rosy cool toned eyeshadows. I always wanted to own one, I had one from Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 that is also on the same lines, rosey toned shades.
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche LA Palette Nude Rose (Rs 1399)
I jumped with joy when previews of LA Palette Nude started showing up on my Instagram feeds. These palettes launched internationally few months ago and said to be a drugstore option for Neutral / Rosy eyeshadow lovers. I love a good eyeshadow palette, and being a beauty enthusiast, didn’t think twice before picking them off Nykaa. However I had watched couple of reviews on youtube and even after seeing mixed reviews I thought of giving them both a shot.
Palette comes in a sleek black shiny packaging with a full size mirror. A dual ended brush is also provided that had sponge tip applicator on one end and brush on the other.
Shades range from shimmery cream to a beautiful plum. Matte shades are quite easy to work with. Application and blending is swift, however I can’t say the same about the shimmery ones. They lack pigmentation and are hard to work on the lids. I used an opaque base still had to layer them up numerous times to get the desired intensity.
Staying powers varies, and depends on the shade you use. If you use matte shades , they stay on for good 4 hours without base and 6+ hours with a good primer. However the shimmery shades don’t show up at all if I apply them directly on the eye lids.
This palette is more of a miss for me, I had high expectations though. From the price point it is one of the expensive palettes at drugstore. The size is quite small as compared to the one that launched in US etc.

Overall Thoughts
For me L’Oreal Paris Color Riche LA Palette Nude Rose is more of an average eye shadow palette. There is a mix of matte & shimmery shades, however they are quite light and working with them can be a challenge. Price is also quite high for a drugstore brand. I would have loved to see better pigmentation.
