I always had love-hate relationship with L’Oreal Color rich moist matte lipsticks. As much as i love the formula, the lipstick breaking from the base annoys me to the core. These lipsticks aren’t cheap and broken bullets break heart. I have faced this issue with almost all the shades that I have tried from this range. The formula is beautiful and long wearing but this one thing prevented me from buying the newly launched shades for a long time. But during one sleepless night after seeing the brand on 20% off I couldn’t stop myself from ordering the two new shades – Beige Couture and Vin De Fantasme.
Packaging is similar to the previous shades a rose gold case with color indicators on the front. This aren’t actual representations though.
Shades – L’Oreal Paris Beige Couture is a beige brown shade. I was hoping it to compliment my complexion but it didn’t + it broke from the base the moment I applied it on. Vin De Fantasme Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick is simple plum shade , nothing unusual. I thought it would be more purple but it is a deep plum shade.
Texture & Formula – This range has one of the best matte formulas I have tried till date. Velvety smooth and comfortable as well as long wearing. These two are no exception, feel comfortable and stay on for a long time. The smooth finish makes lips appear wrinkle free and almost air brushed/ photoshopped. Formula is good for those who want matte but not drying matte.
Pigmentation – Beige Couture is not as pigmented as Vin De Fantasme , it needs a lip liner or non-pigmented lips to look good. Vin De Fantasme is quite dark and would suit deeper complexions.

Overall Thoughts
If you are of a lighter complexion and looking for a good matte everyday shade then give Beige Couture a try. Vin De Fantasme would be good for deeper complexions or if you want to flaunt dark lips. Formula is soft & matte. The only and biggest downside it the bullet breaking from the base, which is disheartening.

I have faced this breaking bullet problem too. It happened to my very favorite Pure Scarleto (Blake Lively’s shade from the Star Collection). Ugh. It hurt bad.
