Being a makeup enthusiast I lose sleep whenever a new launch happens. L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder is another product I wanted to try. I didn’t expect it to launch so soon in India so when I received the press release, my mind blew away !

L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup us available in 6 shades. Unfortunately the shade range isn’t as vast as L’Oreal True Match Foundation. there are 4 light and 2 dark shades. I have picked 328 Sun Beige, its a shade lighter for me, but since the foundation gives sheer to medium coverage I picked it. Rest two shades Classic Tan and Soft Sable were way too dark. Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Review Swatches Demo (3)Magic Nude Liquid Powder definitely has some pink tones. It looks ashy on darker areas like forehead and around my mouth where I have pigmentation.

Foundation comes in glass bottle and dropping it on the floor would cost you Rs 850 and a lot of mess.

Texture & Formula – Magic Nude Liquid Powder has a quite runny formula. I would have appreciated a pump packaging. Formula feels Weightless  and that’s what keeps me going back to it these days. It doesn’t feel moisturizing and sets immediately to a powder finish. I like how it doesn’t feel sticky and being a dry skin girl, I skip powdering my face. Formula blends very nicely and skin feels smooth. However during winters I might need to put a heavy duty moisturizer beneath. Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Review Swatches Demo (4)Coverage – Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup provides light to medium coverage. Its buildable to some extent however you wouldn’t get a full coverage out of it. It evens out my complexion. I apply only one layer that too sparingly, since my face tends to sweat a lot and makeup melts off from my T-zone the moment I step out in sun. Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Review Swatches Demo (1)Staying Power – Its not very impressive in this area. On me Magic Nude Liquid Powder stays on for 3-5 hours depending on the weather. In air conditioned environment it stays on for as good as 5 hours.

I make sure to mix it with a darker foundation to get the shade as close to my skin as possible. It works wonderfully that way. Believe me or not this is the foundation I am wearing a lot these days! It has broad spectrum SPF 18, and that makes it perfect for daytime.

Overall Thoughts

L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup is a weightless formula, perfect for everyday wear. It provides light to medium coverage and hides scars & blemishes. However due to its slight pink tones it tends to look ashy on pigmented areas. Foundation sets quickly into a powder finish and works really well on my dry skin in current hot/humid weather. Only gripe is the staying power which is quite less. Also I would have appreciated more shades in this range.

Nia since you have fairer complexion you would be able to find a match. There are 4 shades that will suit NC 40 and below.

The sounds good for daily wear, only if the wear time was better!

The foundation look good but wish it had more yellow tone .. It doesn’t look nice when nose and chin areas appear darker then the whole face. I will need to check the shades at counter to find my match.. 🙂

Yes Poonam, and for that reason only I mix it with a darker foundation.

I have been trying to find this shade for me and somehow every where I go to pick this up the only shades available are tan and sable….but now I am not really sure if I should try this as I need a little heavy coverage ( not blessed with flawless skin like you 🙂 )

Tan and Sable are too dark. I am wondering why have they launched 2 such dark shades ?

I believe they launched dark shades for women like me who have darker skin tones and who look ashy in light shades of foundations. In fact, they should increase the number of shades available for women darker than NC 40. I purchased 330 Classic Tan as Sable was too light – now I find Tan is too dark! I need something in the middle.

I was about to pick it up today but skipped because I wanted to check on your review. This is almost like BB cream for low-medium coverage and low staying power!! Surely, not worth the price.Plus, that non-stopper glass body packaging for a liquid can get risky :O
You owe me a treat (when we meet next time) for saving my money Shalini 😀
