L’Oreal Paris had launched a lot of new makeup/beauty products last month, including LA Palette Nude , Super Liner Perfect Slim & Brow Artist Genius Kit. They also launched the much raved L’Oreal Le Crayon Correcteur which is a concealer in a crayon form. I have seen number of international YouTube gurus talking and loving this product and seeing it in the store made me ecstatic.

Packaging is quite nice, a retractable crayon which is quite easy-peasy to use.

Shade – L’Oreal Le Crayon Correcteur is available in 3 shades , I picked one of the darkest in yellow tones – Natural (40). Well its not exactly a dark shade, and would suit NC 40 and below. On me it works more as a highlighting concealer than an actual concealer. I have to make sure to use a matching concealer to hide darkness under the eyes and then use it on the top.

Texture & Formula – I am quite impressed with the texture of this crayon concealer. It is creamy but not slippery. The packaging makes it quite user friendly, you just swipe it on the under eye area and blend with a makeup sponge or brush. It blends almost immediately and sets into a powdery finish. I don’t have to set it with a separate powder and it stays put without creasing. However if you have dry skin like mine, make sure to moisturize the area before using this concealer, as due to its dry consistency, it tends to make the area appear drier and wrinkly.

Coverage – Like I have mentioned above the formula isn’t full coverage, in fact it wouldn’t cover dark circles. Also because of the limited shades people who are NC 44 and above will have to struggle. The yellow toned brighten up the area and if used heavily it might look ashy on darker complexions.

Pigmentation – On me Le Crayon Correcteur stays on for good 5+ hours then it starts fading gradually. Thankfully it doesn’t turn patchy if the area is moisturized properly before hand.
