L’oreal Kajal Magique (Rs 245 for 0.35 g) available at Flipkart.comRecently L’oreal Paris has joined to the bandwagon of Kohl. I am totally a kohl person. Most of the days for office, I go for thick kohl rimmed eyes and lipstick. So Jet Black and long lasting are the two important factors which I look out for Kohl. I have super oily skin, so my eyelids get oily very soon.
Packaging – L’oreal Kajal Magique comes in a black retractable tube format, which has anelectric pink lining on the bottom of the cap. The name of the kohl is also imprinted in electric Pink color to the body of the Kohl. The electric pink demarcation added a classy look.
Shade – it comes only in one color that is Supreme Black, The black is not jet black however you can easily build up to bring out intensity of the black color.Texture and Pigmentation – The texture of L’oreal Kajal Magique is quite smooth, does not have to make effort while applying on eyelids. Pigmentation is also good though not good as Lakme Eyeconic or Maybelline Colossal. Maybelline Colossal gives jet black color. L’oreal Kajal Magique gives good coverage though I have to make couple of swipes to make it look dark.
It claims to be waterproof and smudgeproof, the claim I agree to it. Once it sets it does not budge.
Staying Power – Again it claims to stay for 12 Hours, I have applied L’oreal Kajal Magique in morning 9:00 am and I came home at 8:00 pm, the kohl was there till the time on my upper eyelid without any smudging or irritation, though on waterline it fades after 4-5 hours. I agree to the claim part.Overall Thought
L’oreal Kajal Magique being the new one in the league of other highly praised and loved Maybelline Colossal and Lakme Eyeconic Kohl. The price is the biggest con if we compare with other two. The Maybelline Colossal delivers the same aspect with giving the best advantage of being Jet Black color that to at price of Rs.175/-. This is not fail product, though the later will remain my favorite and I will not re purchase this.
