After Maybelline Color Jolt its time to review L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Matte and Lacquer . I enjoy Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip paints, the quantity is quite less. L’Oreal launched L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint in two finishes – Matte & Lacquer. As the name suggests few of them are matte & few have glossy finish. Since these are quite expensive , I picked one from each –
Packaging is quite simple and functional. Coloured plastic tubes with a wand applicator. Wand is curved and hugs lips nicely. It applies color perfectly in single stroke. The tubes are big and carry 8 g each.
Shades – L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Matte Red actually is a red with hint of pink. It is quite rich & vivid and should suit all skin tones. L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer Pink Lady is a gorgeous rose-mauve pink. The color is quite different and looks gorgeous.
Texture & Formula – The texture is both is almost same in initial swipe. Matte one is more dense and has a mousse like texture, and lacquer has a more creamy formula. Both of them glide on easily but L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Matte need layering on my lips. The shade is quite dark and the only reason behind picking Red Actually was that the shade would cover the lip pigmentation easily. However it works more like a stain and I have to build it up. Even after 5-8 minutes it doesn’t dry down completely and stays semi matte. It transfers and fades throughout the wear.
L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer has a creamy glossy finish. I like this one more and how full coverage the finish is. Shade is really gorgeous and can be a perfect everyday shade for girls of my complexion. The formula is quite creamy and transfers a lot.
Both of them feel quite moisturising on the lips and feel comfortable.
L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Matte, Lacquer are priced at Rs 799 each. Available online HERE
If I compare them with Maybelline Color Jolt then the price seems justified since you get almost twice the amount of product + the applicator is much more user friendly. Only downside is that L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Matte doesn’t dry down completely and keeps on transferring.
