Shades – I got two shades Lychee Lust & Pomegranate Punch. Lychee Lust is a pale pink almost clear color with pink and purple iridescent shimmers. Pomegranate Punch is a deep Raspberry red with no shimmers. L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss review swatches (2)Texture & Formula – L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss has quite buttery smooth texture. They almost melt when you glide them on the lips. Lychee Lust has loads of shimmers but doesn’t feel gritty or chunky. However it doesn’t provide much coverage and I would wear it on opaque lipcolor only. Pomegranate Punch is a beautiful shade with no hint of shimmer or glitter in it, formula is super buttery and glides easily. These balms have Super Glossy finish. Formula feels moisturizing and felt comfortable even when I skipped lip balm underneath. None of them settle in fine lines or make lips dry or patchy. I really like their super glossy finish !L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss review swatches (4)Pigmentation – L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss Lychee Lust is very sheer and has more glossiness due to iridescent shimmers. No matter how many times I layer it, it fails to give any coverage. I would recommend this shade to be worn over a lip stick incase you have pigmented lips.

Pomegranate Punch is a full coverage formula. It covers lips evenly in 2-3 swipes. This shade is more wearable for those who don’t like shimmery formulas and have discoloration/ pigmented lipsL'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss review swatches (5)Staying Power – L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss survives mild snacking and darker shades pull through meals with some fading. Pomegrante Punch lasts for good 3-4 hours, Lychee Lust wears off in 2 hours leaving all those shimmers behind that travel all over my mouth area !

Negative Points –

  1. Lychee Lust is too sheer and has loads of shimmers, that stay behind once the formula wears off.
  2. None of them leave any stain behind.
  3. Only 4 shades available and many of them have shimmers.

Overall Thoughts

L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss are affordable and will give a tough competition to other lip crayons available in market (on similar lines). Formula feels comfortable on lips and keeps them moisturized. Downsides would include limited shades, and that most of them have shimmers except pomegranate punch. Pomegranate Punch is a must have shade and a total winner. I am glad that L’Oreal has been able to deliver nice formulas at affordable price.
