L’Oreal Endless Kiss Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick (Rs 999 for 2.5gms)

I’ve suddenly got a ton of lipsticks in really bright or deep shades and was craving for a nice nude. I was reading a lot about the new L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks and decided I was going to get one of these in a nude shade.

Packaging – This relaunched lipstick is aimed at the younger, with it crowd. The lid is translucent and the same colour as the shade inside, a really great concept if you own more than one of these. I however still like some of the heavier packaging that gives some heft and makes the product feel rich and luxe. Anyway I can’t fault this packaging anyway. It is convenient.

Shade – L’Oreal Endless Kiss Infallible Lipstick is a beige nude that has a hint of pink in it. It is like most nudes – less the brown or tan hue, which is what made me pick this up. I don’t like the tan or brown shades much any more. I feel they age your face whereas a pick based shade makes you look a tad younger.

The colour is almost the shade of my lips, though it may be a tiny bit lighter. I wanted something like this for work, and it works perfectly for me. Texture & Formula– I love the absolutely smooth texture of L’Oreal Endless Kiss Infallible Lipstick. It goes on really smoothly and stays on once it sets. In fact I had to remove this using an eye and lip make up remover after 6 hours. I haven’t tested it for longer than that.

I did find that there was a slight bit of unevenness when I put this on. This sometimes happens to lighter shades as it takes a bit of work to get it right. The final effect is fine though, so I don’t really mind this at all.

Overall Thoughts

I didn’t bother to check the size of the lippie when I picked it up, it was only when I started to write down this review that I realized that this is only 2.5gms! All other L’Oreal lipsticks are in the range of 4 gms. This makes the lipstick really expensive, more expensive than MAC if you compare gm for gm. I was actually planning on getting some more of these – but now I may re think this – given the smaller size.

So you are probably thinking, this is no big deal since very few of us actually finish a full tube. So yes, if you really like a shade, go ahead and get this. I on the other hand, do actually finish a lot of the shades I really like and even buy the same shade again once over. If I like L’Oreal Endless Kiss enough, I may buy some more, let’s see.
