Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo Review

Hi guys! Today I am going to share my experience with Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo. Yes, you guessed it right! This is from the newest launch L’Oreal hair care range Dreamlengths. There’s no denying that L’Oreal makes some of the best hair care products in the pocket-friendly range.Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo Review

I apply hair oil frequently and L’Oreal’s shampoos have always helped me to get rid of the sticky residues of hair oil. L’Oreal’s 6 Oil Nourish range is my all-time favourite. I also love their Total Repair 5 range. This newly launched Dreamlengths range promises to provide restorative actions on hair.

My pollution damaged and brittle hair seriously craves for an extra dose of nourishment so I took no time to add the Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo in my shopping cart. I have been using it for quite some months now. The bottle you are seeing in the images is going to finish soon. Let’s see if the Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo could satisfy me or not.Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo Review

About Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo

Loreal Paris Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo restructures lengths and helps seal split ends so you can have the hair length of your dreams. Infused with a cocktail of vegetal keratin and castor oil to repair damaged hair and save your last 3cm.

Features:

1. For longer & stronger hair

2. No need for hair cuts

3. Helps to seal split ends

Packaging: This shampoo comes in a vibrant orange coloured plastic bottle. This tall and sleek bottle looks and feels exactly same a any other L’Oreal’s drugstore range hair wash bottles. The only difference is there in its colour scheme. The bottle is sturdy and the click-shut cap closes tightly.

The bottle or the cap won’t break easily so no chance of product leakage. I have bought the medium size; it is a bit bigger for my travel toiletry kit. However, smaller version of this is also available. L’Oreal always mentions all the informative details in the backside of the pack.

If you are looking for the complete ingredients list, just look below the bar code marking at the back. Overall, it’s a good packaging and L’Oreal gets a high five from me for such a fuss free shampoo bottle!Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo Review

Colour & Consistency: Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo looks translucent white. It has a pearly sheen coming from microfine glitter-like particles present in the hair wash.

I don’t see the point why renowned brands like L’Oreal, Tresemme or Dabur Vatika like to add glitters in shampoos. After all, shimmer has nothing to do with cleansing hair or scalp!

Coming to the consistency, the shampoo is neither too thick nor runny. The texture is medium. If you like to dilute the shampoo with a little water before application, you can easily do so. This shampoo does not require much water to get washed off from the hair. I don’t like the annoying feel of slimy residue from hair washes.

Thankfully this one doesn’t do that. This is a creamy shampoo; not as creamy as Dove shampoos but still you can feel the creaminess while applying. This one is targeted towards dry and damaged hair ends. So, people with oily hair won’t love it much.

Fragrance: This Restoring Shampoo from L’Oreal has a vanilla mixed with floral kind of fragrance. The fragrance is similar to Sunsilk’s Almond shampoo and Garnier’s now discontinued Almond milk shampoo to some extent.

I am not a vanilla fragrance person per say, my senses like citrus or floral fragrances in my hair washes. If you love vanilla cookie fragrances, you are going to love this a lot.

Quantity & Price: Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo is going to cost you Rs.149 for 192.5ml if you are buying it on at MRP. However, you can get your hands on this at a lower price too. Every now and then L’Oreal runs 10-20% discount offers on this. Price wise it is comparable with L’Oreal’s other shampoos and several other drugstore shampoos like Sunsilk, Tresemme etc.

My Overall Thoughts

Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo caught my attention because of its claims. This hair wash promises to provide mild cleansing for long hair. I am trying to grow out my hair. I trim my hair 1-2 times a year to retain the length.

The hair tips get exposed to daily pollution, pillow friction and harsh hair cleansers. These days, my hair ends have become super dry and damaged. I was looking for a milder hair cleanser when I found this one.

Though it is a paraben free product, the presence of sulphates and silicones is a matter of caution. I hope L’Oreal comes up with safe formulations for us.

Let’s talk about the performance of Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo. It cleanses the scalp and hair pretty well. Being a silicone-based product, the formula smoothes out the hair to some extent.

If you have oily hair, you might not need a separate conditioning product after this. Sadly, my hair is always moisture thirsty so I have to turn to conditioners after this. This shampoo is not harsh. If you start washing your hair daily with this, you might get the super dry straw like hair in no time.

I once did that mistake and my hair suffered badly. This hair cleanser gets rid of hair oil residues but you’ll need more product to cleanse out the excess oil. The formula reminds me of L’Oreal’s 6 Oil Nourish range shampoo. I find Loreal Dreamlengths Restoring Shampoo a basic nourishing hair wash. Long hair or short hair, the performance of this is just the same.
