L’Oreal has launched Le Matte lip range in India in 5 shades. Internationally this range was launched with La Lacque lip pens. After browsing through numerous pictures online I decided to pick the darkest 3.
Introducing Colour Riche Le Matte & La Lacque, the newest format in lipcolor. The sleek, sophisticated pen offers highly pigmented color that glides on effortlessly in one precise stroke. Available in 2 iconic finishes, creamy Matte & smooth Lacquer. Use it anywhere, anytime – it’s the newest makeup designer must-have.
Shades – I have picked 3 shades that were the darkest in the range –
She’s So Matte – Peach Pink Nude
Mad For Matte – Bright coral red
Matter-R Of Fact – Purple pink
All the 3 would look good on all skin tones especially medium – deep complexions. She’s so matte is a perfect everyday neutral shade for me though I am not much of a peachy-nude lip lover but this one looks really great with pink undertones.
Texture & Formula – These are matte with a smooth velvety finish. Now if you have dry chapped lips they might exaggerate the texture. Best is to exfoliate lips before applying any kind of matte lip product. The crayon is slim so even if the tip goes blunt you can still get a precise application. I like how the packaging is colored and represents the color of the crayon.
Formula is definitely drying but not uncomfortable. Infact lips feel nice with these on. The formula kind of feels sticky but doesn’t get patchy if you press the lips together.
Pigmentation – All the three Le Matte Lip Pens are quite pigmented specially the darker two.
Staying Power – Good 6-8 hours on me with little fading from the centre of the lips after meals.

L’Oreal Color Riche Le Matte Lip Pen is priced at Rs 750, available Online
I like L’Oreal Color Riche Le Matte Lip Pen but there isn’t anything extraordinary about these. You might get if not better than similar matte lipsticks at much lesser price.
