L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Lip Shine Review – Brun, Peche

L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Lip Shine (Rs 1000) available online & L’Occitane Stores“This non-sticky gloss glides smoothly over the lips, coating them with subtle, shimmering colour and leaving them looking more shapely, more delicious.”

I bought two shades Brun & Peche during one of their BOGO offers. Brun is a reddish brown and Peche is a peach colored gloss. Both of them have fine silver shimmers.

Packaging is simple tube with a brush applicator. Applicator picks and applies product evenly on lips. These glosses are pretty sheer and provide light coverage. The formula didn’t cover my pigmented lips  These aren’t sticky but yes I found them quite thick. Lips feel moisturized though out the wear and even when the formula wears off.L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Lip Shine in Brun shows up better on me due to the color. Shimmer in them adds to the glossy finish and gives illusion of fuller lips. Maximum wear time I get with these is 2-3 hours. Once the color goes away, you can find all the shimmer particles on your lips and around mouth, and that doesn’t look pleasant

I like to apply these over lipsticks since they don’t show up on me otherwise. That’s how both Lip shines look on me. Color shows up only after 2-3 layers.

What I liked

1. Moisturizing Formula
2. Non sticky
3. Doesn’t bleed or move around

What I disliked

1. Thick consistency
2. Pigmentation is not upto the mark. Too sheer and wouldn’t provide any coverage to pigmented lips
3. Shimmers, that stay on the lips when formula wears off.
4. Expensive

Overall Thoughts

L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Lip Shine is for those who love sheer lip glosses with non sticky formula. They would be perfect choice if you like your lips to appear fuller. Though shimmers and sheerness didn’t work for me. Also these are quite expensive Not a must have product in my opinion.
