Packaging – L’Occitane Iris Angelica Sublime BB Cream comes in a flat tube packaging. Simple and travel friendly.
Shade – L’Occitane BB Cream comes in 2 shades Light & Medium. I have tried medium which is a bit light for me (NC 42). Shades have neutral tones so they will suit wide variety of complexions.Texture & Formula – I can compare the texture of L’Occitane BB Cream with a tinted moisturizer, Its smooth and sets into a semi matte finish. Formula is really moisturizing and I wear it without applying a moisturizer underneath. It doesn’t highlight dry patches and keeps my skin soft and supple throughout the day. L’Occitane Iris Angelica Sublime BB Cream has SPF 30 Broad spectrum which is a major plus for me since I am not a fan of layering products in this hot humid weather. BB Cream doubles up as a sunscreen. It brightens up my face instantly. It also claims to reduce pore size and skin redness.Coverage – L’Occitane Iris Angelica Sublime BB Cream provides light to medium coverage. I apply it lightly all over my face, blend it, reapply on blemishes and tap it. It covers blemishes and uneven skin tone beautifully. Key is apply small amount, blend, apply more if needed.
Staying Power – It stays on me for good 6+ hours. Formula doesn’t feel sticky or heavy whatsoever.
Only downside would be limited shades , Medium is not dark enough to suit medium to dark skin tones. It will suit light to medium skintones. Also If not used sparingly product can look ashy on strong yellow undertones.
Overall Thoughts
I totally like the semi-matte finish of L’Occitane Iris Angelica Sublime BB Cream. Formula is light weight, blends effortlessly, is non-greasy and stays on for good 6 hours. I like how it instantly brightens up my face. Goof product to wear to work or on hot humid days when you don’t want to layer up foundation. However I would love to see a darker shade to suit medium to dark complexions.
