Korean skincare has always been my go to when it comes to After trying out the LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask, I wanted to try out a few more products from the brand. My eyes caught the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Berry since I was already looking for a good lip for my lips. I was aware of sleeping masks for face but hadn’t heard about sleeping masks for lips. So, this product looked appealing and I immediately got my hands on it to see how it is. I have been using it for about a month now before I sleep and here’s what I feel about it.

Product description:

The Lip Sleeping Mask by Laneige gently melts away dead skin cells from the lips, making the lips feel smooth and elastic. Experience smooth firming lip night care with the new lip sleeping pack. Berry extracts being rich in vitamin C and antioxidants act on dry, rough lips, making them smooth and supple.

Laneige’s patented moisture technology puts active ingredients such as hydro ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, and hunza apricot extract in the dense beta-glucan moisture film (network). It helps skin absorb the ingredients densely into skin during 8 hours of sleep.

Packaging: The packaging is not much fancy. It comes in a pink and blue coloured cardboard box that has the instructions manual inside along with the product. The sleeping mask comes in a pink plastic tub with a same coloured lid.

It is just like any other normal skincare products that come in tubs and there’s nothing fascinating about it. But I honestly don’t mind and look out for the quality in a skincare product and not the packaging, so it doesn’t bother me much.

Consistency: The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Berry is such a thick lip balm that I had never come across such thick consistencies in a lip balm! I know it’s a sleeping mask, but it is so so thick! Well, that’s an added advantage though because I need only a tiny amount of the product.

It has a balmy texture and is feels like those thick masks that you apply on your face. But it doesn’t feel heavy on my lips and leaves them looking so plump and moisturised.

Fragrance: The fragrance of the product is so delicious and smells like strawberries that I feel like eating it up! It has a mild sweet fragrance that doesn’t last much as soon as I apply the mask on my lips before sleeping, but the fragrance keeps lingering in my senses. 

Quantity and price: The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Berry comes in two different quantities, hence there are two pricing variations. The smaller one is the 8gm tub that costs ₹500 and the bigger one comes with a quantity of 20gm that is priced at ₹1150.

Since it was my first time trying out the mask, I picked up the one with the smaller quantity. But honestly, that tub also looks big to me and will take forever to finish. I can’t think of how big the bigger tub would be! Only a smaller amount of the product is needed this tub is going to last me for months.

My experience with the product:

I have been using the product ever since I got it and it’s just been a month and so much of it is left! I only need a small amount of product on my lips and I apply it as the final step of my skincare routine before bedtime. My lips immediately become so much more hydrated as I apply, but since it is a sleeping mask.

I let Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask be on my lips throughout the night and wash it off with water the next morning. i have seen a major difference in the way my lips feel ever since I started using this mask. They feel so much soft, hydrated and plump without getting dry or flaky. The mask claims that it dissolves all the dryness, dead cells, and flakiness and it actually does what it claims.

Also, since it has vitamin C, it helps in getting rid of the pigmentation from the lips as well, which is why I like it even more. I am so happy with the purchase that I’ll definitely get my hands on another tub after I finish with the current one.
