Lancome makes some of my most favorite skin care products, effective and super luxe.  I have been using Visionnaire on and off for a few years now.  I always see something new and the curiosity takes over and I use that for a while, but return to Visionnaire ever so often.

Packaging – Lancome Visionnaire bottle is very sleek – shaded blue – darker near the lid it sets the expectations for what is inside.  Even though the bottle is colored, you can still gauge how much product you have used if you look carefully.   The pump dispenser is hygienic and effective.  It dispenses a small amount so there is no waste, in fact I use about 2 to 3 pumps each time.Texture – I find that this is something between a lotion and a serum.  The white fluid is gel like, but flows easily and does not feel sticky or tacky at all.  It definitely feels heavier than a serum but not quite as heavy as a lotion.

Lancome Visionnaire gets absorbed really quickly and almost immediately your skin feels more hydrated and moisturized.  On hot days I don’t need to layer another serum or moisturizer.  I have used this in conjunction with Lancome Genefique in the past when I needed an extra dose of moisture.My experience

Lancome claims the LR 2412 molecule was more than a decade in research.  The end product is supposed to correct wrinkles, shrink pores and increase evenness in skin texture.  That’s a pretty tall order for any skin care.

I find that there is no cosmetic effect on my skin such as a BB cream or a highlighter would give.  Instead over repeated usage I find that my skin glows and looks more luminous.  I have oily skin and it is a challenge keeping it moisturized and healthy looking without having it shine like a disco ball.  I find this gives me the best balance – I don’t mind stepping out with zero make up when I am using this.   In fact it does control the shine to a large extent.

I honestly don’t have many wrinkles (whew!) so I can’t comment on its effect on correcting wrinkles.  I also find Lancome Visionnaire has only a marginal impact on pores – however does control oil like I mentioned earlier.   Having said that, I find that most claims of reducing pores are a little stretched, there is only so much you can do to shrink them without the use of foundation.

Overall Thoughts

I know the cost is high and if you can – do get a sample before you commit yourself to a full size.  Also, I find Lancome Visionnaire is considerably cheaper at a duty free or abroad.  I picked mine up from strawberrynet.com during a deal and paid a fraction of the cost for a 100ml bottle.

Other than the price, the product is great.  My skin looks fresh, younger and more supple.  I have received quite a few compliments on how I look more relaxed or refreshed with people wondering if I have just returned from a vacation. J  That compliment itself makes it quite worth the while for me.   I will keep using this – one of my favorites.
