It is known for its high potency colors, and the color I picked up, Sequins of Love, or Sequins D’Amour as it is in Europe, is a fantastic color indeed. These beauties have Emma Watson as their brand ambassador, and that makes them doubly appealing to any Harry Potter fan.

My Take:

The packaging of these shades are incredibly classy – a matte steel colored bullet, pretty heavy, with the words Rouge in Love written in red a square steel frame. The packaging is very classy, and its very travel-friendly, thanks to a sturdy clasp that shuts with a click.

Lancome Rouge in Love 170N is a shade of creamy warm red without any glitter or shimmer which goes semi-opaque in one swipe and totally opaque in two, thanks to the decent pigmentation. It is a great, intense shade, and it gives my lips a hydrated, juicy, yet very voluptuous look, that is very appealing, as per bystanders. The lipstick has the tendency of suiting the skin tone of the wearer. On me, it turns slightly pink, but on a friend, it turned redder, and looked brighter, even though we both applied more or less the same amount of color. That makes this pretty unique. The lipstick applies very easily, but it does not bleed, flake, or dry out my lips at all.

The staying power of Lancome Rouge in Love 170N is not 6 hours – however, it does leave a very sexy red stain on my lips after 3 hours of wear, so yes, reapplication is a must after every 3-4 hours.

Lancome Rouge in Love 170N is a definite must for the approaching winter season, not just because of the shade, but also because of the hydration it gives my lips. I am in love with the color and the feel of it, and I would order more from this range.
