Lakme Makeup Pro App Review & How To Use It

Lakme has simplified lives of makeup fanatics & online shoppers. How? By Launching Lakme Makeup Pro App. I had posted about it some days ago you can read it HERE

Have you ever dreamed of a tool which could suggest you makeup looks within seconds. Or you ever wished for a technology that could help you test/try a makeup product on yourself before buying it? I have thought about it numerous times and believe me I couldn’t contain my happiness when I discovered Lakme Makeup Pro App ! Currently its available for android users, very soon lakme will be launching one for iOS as well. You can download the app from Google Play Store.

How To Use It –

Lakme Makeup Pro App gives you two options – Real Time Face Detection or Upload A Picture. I have tried both but for the sake of this post I decided to go with picture.

1

The semi-circle on the right bottom has options to try on products for face, eyes, lips etc. I started with face and selected CC Cream

2 face

Lakme CC Cream comes in two shades – Beige & Bronze. I tried on both but bronze matched me better.

You can adjust the intensity, to see how a product looks sheer or full coverage on you.

After completing the base I moved on to concealer . There are 3 shades available I tried on all 3 and selected the one that looked the best.

Concealer

After concealer I choose compact powder shade.

Now my favorite part – Blush. There are number of choices available. I chose a rosy-pink one.

Blush

I tried on couple of eyeshadows but forgot to take the screen shot. Makeup sure to align your eyes and lips right after selecting the picture so that kohl/liner can be applied at the right place.

Next I tried on mascara and that gave me fluttery lashes, which is something that never happens with me in real life.

Mascara

I missed eyebrow pencil, because for me a look isn’t complete without shaping eyebrows.

Next I moved on to the lips – Lip Liner, Lipstick & Gloss

Lip Liner
Lipgloss

Lipstick

This is the completed look. You can save tap on “Finalise Your Look” and move on to buying the products. Once you finalise the look you would be able to see before & after shots.

before and after

You can see all the products that you tried on yourself and either make a note or proceed to buy them online.

I moved on to trying “Pro Stylist Looks”. These are ready-made makeup looks depicted on models & Lakme Brand Ambassadors, you can choose the look and try it on yourself. I tried couple of those and liked the idea of skipping the hassle of going through numerous products and choosing the look you liked the most and replicate.

I really enjoyed playing with Lakme Makeup Pro App. This app would be beneficial for those who struggle to find their shades and don’t know how to create makeup looks. Only con that I could think of is that using the app in real time is a bit tricky, however the app successfully detects facial features and apply makeup on the right places. I personally prefer trying it on picture.

Have you tried Lakme Makeup Pro App yet?
