The intensively moisturizing Lakmé Lip Love lip care balms hydrate and comfort your lips, while adding a hint of colour. This first ever dual core lip balm has a creamy inner core that keeps lips moisturized throughout the day and an outer swirl of colour that gives your lips a lovely tint. What makes this product even better is its SPF 15 content that helps protect your lips from sun damage. In clinical studies conducted, new Lakmé Lip Love lip care has proven to provide intense moisturization that keeps lips well-hydrated, soft and supple for complete 12 hours.

Being a person with dry lips, lip balm is a must have in my handbag. Reapplication is inevitable because of the cold weather these days hence a tube packaging is always preferred. Lakme has Lip love lip balms that come in small tub , they have launched anothe line on lip balms and called them Lip Love Lip Care. These are twist up tubes and are available in 4 shades – Cherry, Strawberry, Peach and Vanilla. I wasn’t sure about peach & vanilla so decided to go with other two shades.

Color of the tube represents the color of the balm inside. I liked the clear lid and colorful balm tubes to be honest. I always prefer tinted lip balms because non-tinted ones tend to leave a white cast on the lips, which looks disgusting.

Strawberry is a beautiful mauve pink & Cherry is a red lip balm.

Formula of Lakme Lip Love Lip Care is smooth and not-waxy at all. These aren’t  very pigmented so good for everyday use. I prefer moderately pigmented lip balms because I don’t want to look too made up all the time. I prefer wearing a lip balm when I go to pick my daughter from school or pick groceries from the store, so  a slight tint does the work for  me.  Also these lip balms have SPF 15, which is another thing I prefer in a lip balm.

Formula is moisturizing and keeps lips soft and supple. There is a need of reapplication as  my lips start getting dry after every 4-5 hours. I have no issues in reapplying since the texture is neither waxy nor oily.

Left To Right - Cherry , Strawberry

Only downside is the price, Rs 200 for a tube of lip balm is too steep for me that too when there are equally good alternatives are available in the market. I also loving Maybelline Electro Pop Lip Balms these days which cost less than Lakme Lip Love. Also I believe so far these Lip Love Lip Care are only available at Amazon which is another con.

Overall Thoughts

I like the formula & Texture of Lakme Lip Love Lip Care , its not waxy or oily. Only con is price which is a bit too steep for a lip balm.

It is a good start from lakme. the packaging looks cute too 🙂 but with heavy competition from maybelline lakme should consider either decreasing the price or improving the quality 🙂

These would have been better if the pigmentation level was somewhat high, love the colorful packaging

This is what I am saying. I would have loved them to be a little more pigmented than what they are

So happy you thought it is priced high,I know many people will say it is super cheap but no,for a lipbalm it is pretty expensive, I feel the same abt certain lipstick priced over 900 bucks(unless it is high end),I won’t pay over 900 bucks for a drugstore lipstick, however I can shell above that for a foundation so yeah different stuff needs to be priced differently

I am so tempted to buy these just for the packaging. It looks so pretty! A little too expensive for just a regular lip balm though.
