Lip balms have an important role in my everyday skincare regime. I keep one always with me. For daytime I prefer tinted lightly moisturizing balms and for night I prefer heavy duty ones, lip balm for very dry lips. A hint of color prevents my lips from looking completely bare. I have been using Lakme Lip Love Lip Care for the past 2 years or more and like them as a day time lip balm. Today I have 3 new shades of Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Raspberry, Tangerine, Blackberry.
The Lakme Lip Love Lip Care comes in colored plastic cases with a transparent cap. The packaging which is retractable feels very fragile. Due to their colored outer case, it is very easy to identify the colors if you have more than one of these.
The balms have a moisturising core and color around it. The balm is not waxy or slippery and has the right texture. Formula is quite moisturising , however I have to keep applying it throughout the day. My Lips get very dry and hence I keep these around me for reapplication.
The three variants of Lakme Lip Love Lip Care – Raspberry, Tangerine, Blackberry have sheer color payoff. Raspberry is a sheer pink, Tangerine is a sheer tangerine orange and blackberry is a deep berry. I find all three quite wearable. Raspberry is what I wear all the time. It looks very natural.
In the picture below I have swiped these shades more than thrice, so now you can guess the color payoff.
I don’t find them intensely moisturising and there is a need of reapplication. It doesn’t mend chapped lips and once the formula wears off, the dryness comes back. So continuous reapplication is necessary.

Overall Thoughts
If you are looking for moderately moisturising tinted lip balms then do try Lakme Lip Love Lip Care. Raspberry, Tangerine, Blackberry are pretty and wearable shades. Only downside is that the formula doesn’t repair chapped lips, and you will have to keep reapplying them.
