Lakme Lip Love Lip Balm – Grape, Cocoa  (Rs 200)

This first ever dual core lip balm has a creamy inner core that keeps lipsmoisturized throughout the day and an outer swirl of colour that gives yourlips a lovely tint. What makes this product even better is its SPF 15 contentthat helps protect your lips from sun damage too.

Two new shades – Cocoa, a brown & Grape – a berry shade. I really love grape as it gives just the right amount of color to the lips. It almost looks like a sheer lipstick with the goodness of a balm. The texture is soft & moisturizing, without being waxy.

The core provides the moisture & the color that surrounds it is quite pigmented for a lip balm. It reminds me a bit of Elle 18 Color Boost lipsticks, that have a core and color kind of built.  I like tinted lip balms for daytime, since they add a hint of color which takes away the waxy or ashy tones off the lips when the weather is slight cold. Also the lip balm works on dry chapped lips , making them smoother & softer.

The texture isn’t too slippery, so works pretty well under lipstick as well.

Overall Thoughts

I like Lakme Lip Love Lip Balms and Grape has become my new favorite everyday balm. The formula is quite moisturizing and keeps lips soft & smooth throughout the day. I like how the texture isn’t very slippery and works really well under lipsticks. The tint is also quite prominent and evens out lip tone nicely. Only downside would be the price which is bit too steep for a lip balm.
