Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue Review Swatches Photos

Kohls have always got a special love and warmth from Indian ladies. Girls love their eyes teamed up with black dark kohls. But recently the makeup industry is changing. Colored liners have become a rage lately. But sadly there are very few Indian brands which deliver quality makeup products. We have been fortunate to get many alternatives at affordable prices. My journey of Colored liners began with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue.

Product details: Reinvent your everyday look with the all new Lakmé Eyeconic. With a deep colored stroke in an easy twist up format, it gives your eyes a long-lasting, Eyeconic look throughout the day. Smudge proof, water proof and dermatologically tested.

Shades: 6 shades are available – white, grey, blue, brown, green and black.

Packaging – Lakme Eyeconic Kajal comes in 6 vibrant colours. All the colours are perfect to suit your one and all occasion. You can suit your kohl colour as per your mood. The Kajal comes in very convenient packaging with product name and details mentioned. It comes in the form of a slim retractable pencil. The pencil is in twist up form which when retracted comes out. The pencil is slim and very convenient to draw thin lines. You can make the lines thicker by swiping it multiple times. Both the colours have similar packaging with only shade name mentioned at the bottom of the pencil.

Texture –The eyeliners are very creamy in nature. They get applied on both the waterline and upper line without any extra force. It must be noted that I am a lens wearer and I have never faced any issue with these colours.

My Experience with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue.

The shade is dark blue more of navy blue colour. The colour is bound to look great on both fair and dusky skin tones. I believe dusky skin tone will rock this colour more. The shade does not have even a bit of shimmer. So, it’s a plain matte blue colour which will add an oomph factor to your eyes.

This shade is quite poor in terms of pigmentation. You need to apply twice or thrice to get that sultry navy blue colour in single swipe. But the best part is that there is no uneasiness or tugging and pulling while applying this Kajal. It’s pretty comfortable to wear.

I have used variety of Kajal right from drugstore to premium brands. But almost none of them have been able to impress me. Similarly with this Kajal being dark in colour the kohls stays for 2-3 hours. It’s not waterproof at all. After 2-3 hours the colour goes away with slight fading. And at the end of the day a clean blue kohl gives a Smokey look. So, I absolutely don’t mind the smudging part.

Overall Thoughts

I totally dislike Kajals which are not pigmented. Now, tell me what is the use of a Kajal that does not show up on waterline. I tried Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue under different lightings but even then it didn’t show up on my waterline and so I give it a complete thumbs down. Sorry, lakme but you disappointed me with this one.
