Shade – Lakme Eye Color Quartet Silk Route comes with 4 pretty shades. All the shades are shimmery – a pale pink, light bronze, pink-purple and grey. First three shades are beautiful and can be worn alone all over eyelids. I liked the bronze-champagne color a lot. Its very subtle yet beautiful !Texture & Formula – All the eye shadows are shimmery and most of them have golden shimmers. Shimmery eye shadows tend to cause lot of fall out. Same is the case with these. Formula is good and despite of having shimmers, none of the eye shadows feel gritty. Formula applies and blends easily. Its better to use an eyeshadow primer underneath to give these eye shadows some boost.Pigmentation – All the shades are very pigmented except the 1st one, pale pink shade. I had a hard time building it up. Rest all the shade are easy to work with. Using a primer is a must so that formula can get something to stick on to for a longer time and prevent creasing.

Staying Power – All the shades of Lakme Eye Color Quartet Silk Route stay on for good 3+ hours without a primer with some creasing, however primer increases the staying power + doesn’t let them crease for good 5 hours.

For the EOTD I have used Pale Pink shade on the inner 1/3 of the lid, pink purple on rest 2/3, Bronze-champagne in the crease and Grey on outer V.

Overall Thoughts

Lakme Eye Color Quartet Silk Route is a good buy and decently priced too. All the shades are wearable and have smooth texture. The shades would suit Indian skin tones and can be worn to wedding/ parties comfortably. You will observe some fall outs since shimmery shades tend to haver fall out issues. Also the sponge tip applicator it comes with aren’t of much use.
