Packaging – Lakme Absolute Peach Blush comes in a flat square box, with the applicator separate from the round pot of blush itself. This means, if you are travelling, you will have to go without the brush, or carry it separately. The blush is a round dome with a clear top, which makes it easy to find. However, it also means there is no mirror that might help in touch ups. So clearly, this blush is not meant for moving around. The applicator has very soft bristles and it actually helps pull up a good bit of blush in one go, and the bad thing is, my blush brush is mostly useless against this color, so I prefer using the applicator to the blush brush. Lakme Absolute Peach Blush Face Stylist Blush Duos (3)Product Color and Pigmentation – I picked up Lakme Absolute Peach Blush without swatching as I did not have much time, and it looked like a color I could use often. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Although there is a fairly decent amount of shimmer in both the blushes, when applied on my NC 42-43 skintone, they both turn out to be fairly similar in color, although, in pan, the left side looks peachy and the right side looks slightly brown. But, weirdest thing is – both colors look mostly same on my yellow-tinged skin (check hand swatches). I have tried layering them on my skin, but apart from adding a lot of shimmers on my skin and the barest flush of color, it does not do anything.

Lasting Power – The color’s staying power is very average – on the most, the flush would last for 2 hours on my oily skin. The shimmers cling to the pores and make them very obvious and my cheeks have open pores, so I keep this away from that zone altogether. Also, the shimmers’ lasting power is long. You would find them loitering about your face until you really clean up your face with a good bit of makeup remover.

Pros:

  1. Does not irritate my skin
  2. Fine texture
  3. Applicator is actually pretty useful

Cons:

  1. Packaging is impractical
  2. Color is too sheer
  3. Shimmers go everywhere until removed with makeup remover
  4. Does not last on me

Overall Thoughts

I have tried Lakme Absolute Peach Blush Face Stylist Blush Duo solo, over foundation, over primer and foundation, and on lighter skin tones, but the texture is just too sheer for the color to truly become a blush. As a result, I have started using this, rather, like a contouring device, applying them on the underside of my chin and jawline to add a bit of definition, and I also use this on the corner of my eyes as highlighter.

Lakme for coming up with such great products. I have always been fan of lakme peach and blush moisturizer but this absolute range is too good. So many products of this range are worth giving a try.

The colour looked very nice in the pan, but the swatches look dull. Don’t think this would suit dusky skin like mine
