The new range of high performance lip gloss by Lakmé delivers rich colour and luscious texture for impeccable lacquered lips. The deeply pigmented, revolutionary gloss incorporates high shine polymers and light reflecting particles for an intense finish.

Available in 6 shades: Coral Sunset, Rust Crush, Neon Pink, Pink Pout, Burgundy Burn and Berry CherryPackaging – Its vary simple and reminds me of Chambor Glitzy Glosses. It comes in a light weight plastic packaging with a sponge applicator. At this price I was expecting a fancier packaging. The outer cover is similar to Lakme Absolute range.

Shade – Burgandy Burn isn’t a burgundy shade at all. On me it looks more like a raspberry shade with strong orange tones. It has very fine and subtle golden shimmer too. This shade is absolutely gorgeous and would suit all skin tones.

Texture & Formula – I found Lakme Absolute Gloss Stylist Burgandy Burn thick yet non sticky. The formula glides on evenly and doesn’t settle in fine lines. It keeps lips moisturized through out the wear. Formula has golden shimmer in it which is very subtle and unnoticeable once you have it on. It adds to the shine and glossiness. Pigmentation – Lakme Absolute Gloss Stylist Burgandy Burn is nicely pigmented. It gives medium coverage which can be further build up to full coverage.

Staying Power – Nothing great. Like any other gloss this one starts fading after 2-3 hours and doesn’t leave a stain behind. I would definitely loved a little more staying power.Talk about the negatives and I would have these two points

1. Expensive. Rs 700 is too expensive for a drugstore brand Gloss.
2. Staying Power – At such price we can ask for more than 3 hours.

Overall Thoughts

Lakme Absolute Gloss Stylist range left me asking for more. Only 6 shades, all of them are pretty bright, which may or may not suit everyone. Packaging is pretty simple, also staying power is only 2-3 hours. Though the formula is nice and doesn’t dry out lips. It doesn’t settle in fine lines. I believe Burgandy Burn would suit almost everyone, its such a pretty shade !
