Packaging – The packaging of Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact is very sleek and classy. The powder is enclosed in a solid black coloured round flat compact. The compact powder comes with a mirror and a sponge. The mirror really comes handy during emergency touch ups.
Shade – Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact Beige Honey suits my skin tone very well. The powder has yellow undertones and also has some neutral tones to it. I use a large powder brush and sweep the powder for a natural finish over my face when I apply a BB cream or a light coverage foundation. The shade matches skin tone for both light and heavy coverage. I like to use the compact sponge for areas where I conceal to help set the concealer well, especially under my eyes.
Texture & Formula – The texture of the Lakme Absolute Face Stylist compact powder is very soft and smooth. It is finely milled and blends beautifully into the skin. The formula is superb. It is light weight and easy to apply. The powder doesn’t leave any patches on my face and sets well. I have combination skin and I like the powder for controlling oil well. It doesn’t accentuate dry skin. It makes the face shine free. The powder has a very mild fragrance. The powder covers up unevenness and gives an almost flawless look.
Pigmentation – The compact provides light to buildable coverage and evens out complexion. It covers minor blemishes and any discoloration.
Staying Power – It stays for 6-7 hours keeping the face matte and oil-free after which a light touch up is needed around the T-zone on my combination skin.
Overall Thoughts
I really liked the formula of Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Compact. It provides good natural finish without making my face look cakey. The only downside to the product is the price, it is expensive. I wished the price was around 600. Overall, I do recommend it for the formula, if you don’t mind the price, give it a try.
