When Lakme started posting teasers of Weightless Mousse Foundation, I got crazy was almost dying to get my hands on it. The packaging + the claims of an airy weightless formula made me go for it even though Mousse formulas are best suited for oily / combination skin.
Lakme 9To5 Weightless Mousse Foundation comes in this pretty rose pink packaging. The tube looks pretty for sure !
Shade – There are 4 shades available in Weightless Mousse Foundation – Beige Vanilla, Beige Caramel, Rose Ivory & Rose Honey. I am assuming that beige is for yellow undertones & Rose is for pink undertones, since the shade I have (Beige Vanilla) is pretty yellow toned. I think Beige Caramel would be more suitable for my complexion though.
Texture & Formula – True to its name Weightless Mousse Foundation has a soft airy moussey texture. It applies & blends easily, almost immediately. You start rubbing it and the formula turns almost powdery. It doesn’t need to set with powder since it feels and looks like powder on the skin. For my dry skin its too dry, clinging on to the patches and exaggerating them. Also my face starts feeling stretchy and uncomfortable, also it looks bit too powdery on me. If you are one with oily skin, then this might be a good choice.
Coverage – The foundation offers light to medium coverage. For some reasons I found the shade looking a bit too yellow on me, almost jaundiced haha. I need to conceal my under eye darkness with a separate concealer.
Staying Power – I wore it for good 3 hours until it turned patchy and powdery on me. I find the scent nice, which is a typical lakme one.

Overall Thoughts
If you are looking for a light weight everyday product that is easy to apply & blend than do give Lakme 9To5 Weightless Mousse Foundation a shot. Though its not meant for dry skin because the formula starts to look patchy after a while. Also the staying power is not that great.

For the price I don’t think it is good. We have better options available.

Seems like it’s “old wine in new bottle”. Looks very similar to absolute mouse one. One think i don’t like about lakme foundations is that the they feel way too warm for our complexion. You are so right about that. Thank you for honest review. Will skip this one.

I have used the 9 to 5 flawless foundation . this sounds so much like that.. Its definitely a skip for me! My skin is already peeling a lot!
Khushi@NotOnlyMakeup
Looks exactly like the cc cream packaging. The price is high in my opinion.
