Lakme has launched new Naturale range with aloe as an active ingredient. The range has a mix of skincare and makeup products. I have recently reviewed Aloe Aqua Gel from this range. From makeup I have picked almost all the products and have done a first impressions video as well. Today I am going to talk about Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Foundation Drops.
Lakmé Naturale presents the first-of-its-kind bi-phase foundation, infused with aloe vera and green tea extracts. It helps fight city pollution while giving you a natural, dewy finish.Choose from 4 unique shades to create a flawless, city bright look that appears untouched by city pollution. Its lightweight, fluid texture provides buildable coverage with each additional drop. Antioxidants and SPF 30 PA++ help protect you from city pollution.
Shades – Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Foundation Drops launched in only 4 shades and I picked the darkest – Natural Almond 04. However it still isn’t dark enough for me , and looks slightly ashy.It has yellow undertones however I would have preferred a shade darker than this. Lakme is an Indian brand and ignoring darker complexions is heartbreaking.
Texture & Formula – I like the light weight , easy to blend formula. It has a runny consistency and sets on the skin almost immediately. I think this would be the perfect – summer foundation because it is light weight and doesn’t need a powder to stay in place. The coverage is light to medium and would be suitable for everyday use.
Coverage – Like mentioned earlier Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Foundation Drops give light to buildable coverage. The formula is fluid like so it can be good for those who want natural looking finish however you can build the coverage a little more by layering.
Staying Power – 5-6 hours on me without primer.

It’s sad to see that Lakme never launches any foundation for deeper skin tones…

Foundation with aloe sounds interesting. But I wish they had more shade options…

I really wish native Indian brands would cater to the wide Indian skin tone better.

For me it is very important when there is a SPF factor. Although of course the palette should be wider.
