I am always on the hunt for a good BB cream. 70% of the affordable BB creams in India come in 1 or 2 shades which is so disappointing. Being someone with medium-dark complexion I struggle finding right match for me. I have tried a number of BB creams and Colorbar BB Cream , Lakme CC Cream & Faces CC Cream have worked for me. I came across LA Girl HD Pro BB Cream few month ago and couldn’t pick it up because I was confused about the shade. There are 4-5 shade available in the range unfortunately guessing your shade doesn’t always work in your favour. So when I was at NewU, I swatched and picked medium from this range.

Shade – I chose medium, since medium dark looked a bit dark for me. Even this shade has orange tones, I mean it is again tad dark on me. But since the coverage is sheer I can make it work with a lighter powder on top. I didn’t see Neutral shade in the store which might be a good match for me. There are 8 shades available which means the brand has covered all the skin tones.
Texture & formula – Now this BB cream has a nice smooth texture that glides and blends seamlessly. I love how you can use your finger tips to blend the formula and it doesn’t take more than a minute. I don’t think LA Girl HD Pro BB Cream has a matte finish since i can see some dewiness on the skin after the application. It would be a semi-matte of skin like finish.
It can be a great products for everyday, if you are working or a college student. The formula doesn’t come with SPF which is surprising, since most of the BB or CC cream offer some sun protection.
Coverage – Sheer, even after two layers. So additional concealing will be requires specially to cover darkness under eyes or any blemishes on the face.
This is how the BB Cream looks on me after doing the entire makeup. I have face powder on, I used Colorbar Flawless Finish Air Brush Loose Powder which is slightly light but with yellow undertones. It brightened up the complexion and worked magically on the LA Girl HD Pro BB Cream.

Overall Thoughts
If you are looking for something with sheer coverage and comfortable wear then do try LA Girl HD Pro BB Cream. The coverage isn’t much but it works perfectly as an everyday base makeup product. Also there are 8 shades to choose from which is amazing. Cons would be staying power which is as low as 3 hours on me in hot weather. I would have preferred a formula with some SPF too.

Being a BB cream we can’t expect full coverage but this seems nice to try out for dusky skin tones!

I love BB Creams but tell you they are so difficult to purchase online unless you know your shade! Even I’d prefer walking down to a store and swatching before I actually pick it up. That was a nice review. 🙂
