LA Girl 50 Watt Strobe Light Strobing Powder Review Swatches Photos

Of late I have gotten into highlighters, which is very strange because even after collecting more than 9 of them, I hardly use any. But one product was on my wishlist for the longest time – LA Girl 50 Watt Strobe Light Strobing Powder. LA Girl products are getting all the attention these days and I hauled couple of them from NewU as well as Nykaa.

Strobing made easy with the L.A.Girl Strobe Lite Strobing Powder that highlights your facial features by creating more depth and dimension where light usually hits. The soft and silky powder adds a fresh glow to highlight cheeks, brighten eyes, sculpt nose, and enhance pout. Strobe Lite can be applied alone or over makeup for a perfect glowing complexion. Powder is paraben and fragrance free.

First thing that caught my attention was the packaging. A metallic gold quite bulky case with a transparent lid. I thought it would be a metal compact but after receiving it I realised it is made of plastic, quite light weight, almost cheap. But the compact is quite big and looks pretty.

Shade – There are 12 shades available. I picked LA Girl 50 Watt Strobe Light Strobing Powder after a lot of contemplation. Which to my disappointment turned out to me a light champagne gold highlighter. It doesn’t look ashy on me but personally I prefer more gold toned highlighters. Something like Becca Opal Pressed highlighter. However this shade would look good on fair to medium complexions. Texture & Formula – Now I don’t like chunky glittery highlighters, thankfully formula of strobing powder is quite fine, though I can’t call them super smooth but they aren’t chunky either. If you like heavy duty highlighters then this is what you should be owning. Formula is fine and smooth, it blends easily without looking OTT.

Pigmentation – LA Girl 50 Watt Strobe Light is quite pigmented but goes sheer when applied. Which means you wouldn’t overdo it even if you are trying to.

Overall Thoughts

I am quite happy to see so many options in Indian market. LA girl has some beautiful products specially their HD range. I am quite impressed with the texture & formula and available shades. However you can get similar formula in less price in makeup revolution or freedom pro makeup.
