Lip stains and liquid lipsticks are becoming famous now because of the ease of use and the longevity. Kryolan has few beautiful shades in their lip stain range and today I am reviewing Kryolan Punk Lip Stain.
Shade – Punk is a beautiful purple which compliments medium to deep skintones really well. It can also be as a light stain and still looks good and stays put equally.
Packaging – Kryolan lip stain Punk comes in a long transparent plastic tube with a brush. As I mentioned in the shade Gospel, the brush is something I do not like and it flares after few uses. It is not sturdy for proper application. The shade name is mentioned at the back of the tube.
Texture & Formula – It has a light weight, non sticky texture that feels comfortable on the lips. I do not find it much drying like the other liquid lipsticks. If you have dry lips, exfoliation is a must or it will definitely accentuate dry patches and lines.
Pigmentation – Kryolan Punk Lip stain is amazingly pigmented and one swipe covers pigmented lips also and gives full intensity of the color. I sometimes tone it down and just dab it lightly on my lips for a soft purple tint and it still looks beautiful.
Staying Power – Kryolan Lip stain Punk stays for 5-6 hours and feels comfortable also. It does fade with food and drinks from the center but if I dab it and blend with my fingers or reapply a bit that suffices and stays for few more hours.

Overall Thoughts:
Kryolan Punk Lip Stain is a beautiful deep purple shade that suits medium to dusky skin very well. It is a unique shade and can be a great one for dusky brides as well. The best is that it can also be toned down as a light stain or topped off over another lipstick to make it stay longer. It does not look dry or patchy.
The brush is a huge disappointment and the price is also a bit high as Kryolan has always been affordable. Worth a pick if you like the color.
