Kryolan Derma Color Fixing Spray Review Swatches Photos

Most of you must be aware that the Drema color range from Kryolan is their best seller and loved by so many professional makeup artists and makeup lovers as well. I am a big fan of this range. In fact, the Derma color camouflage cream is said to the best full coverage concealer in the world. That being said, every product that is applied to the face is expected to stay longer and any product that claims to do that is appreciated. Derma Color Fixing Spray claims to increase the staying power of the derma concealer and powder. Let us see how it worked.

Dermacolor Fixing Spray is used for extra protection of the camouflage. Especially suitable for hands and neck. Dermacolor Fixing Spray is applied after setting the camouflage with Dermacolor Fixing Powder. It is sprayed directly onto the skin from a distance of 20-30 cm. After drying the camouflage is smudge-proof. Easy washable with water and soap.

I use Kryolan derma color camouflage cream with a wet sponge and blend it. Then I set it with the derma fixing powder. Then I spray the Derma color fixing spray from a distance so that it does not hit on the face but just as a mist.

Packaging – The bottle is a bit bulky compared to regular face mists. Kryolan products always come in boring packaging but the quality impresses more.

The spray pump is a little tight and if you press it fast, you will end up spraying too much. You have to be very careful and spray from a distance and also make sure you use a light hand. It has a pleasant, not so over powering fragrance, though am not sure how many would be ok with it. It is not as strong as the hair sprays. As soon as you spray it, It disappears and seems invisible. It however imparts a beautiful glow to the face.

The Product –

It is said to have good ingredients and Kryolan products have not cause any irritation on my super sensitive skin so far. Performance wise, I would say it is good to have this spray  but not a must have if you are not a professional. It definitely increases the staying power of the base makeup and keeps face fresh for 5-6 hours. It is much much better than MAC Fix Plus at half the cost.

It is a great makeup setting spray. If your foundation or powder is over-done, just slight dust it off and spray it lightly over it. It reduces the cake-y look and sets to a neat finish.

Kryolan Derma Color Fixing Spray suits all skin types and I found that it adjusts and performs according to the skin type which is a good thing. If the skin is dry, it nourishes and prevents dry patches. If the skin is oily, it makes the face semi matte. I really do not know what science goes behind making such wonderful products but I must admit that I am impressed.

Overall Thoughts

It does what it claims and works with other brands also and not just Kryolan Derma color which is a good thing. It is s good buy as there are very few setting sprays available in the market.
