Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick Review

Korres is a brand based in Greece and has some amazing skincare and makeup products.  I am so thrilled that these are now easier to come by in India.  Korres Raspberry Antioxidant liquid lipstick is a cooling, water based formula for intense colour and long lasting creamy texture. It contains raspberry and pomegranate extracts that are rich in antioxidant and shield lips against free radical damage while smoothing lip lines.  Blended with Acai Palm Pulp Oil for relieving & hydrating benefits.

Shade – Berry is a really apt name for this shade as that’s the only word that comes to mind to describe the colour.  It looks like a really juicy ripe and tantalizing berry shade.  The pink is true and leans a little to the cooler side, though I am sure it will look different on different skin tones.  I also think this is more of a chameleon shade that looks different of different people.  I find this very easy to wear on most days.

Pigmentation – The colour density is high but I wouldn’t put it in the same category as the Chanel or the Shiseido liquid lipsticks.  Those babies are really really intense.  This one is a little less intense and dramatic that the Chanel one I have.  I think this is because this is ultimately a water based formula and goes on very differently on the lips than a normal cream based liquid lipstick.

Texture & Formula – As I already mentioned, the texture of Korres Raspberry Antioxidant liquid lipstick is much lighter being water based.  It goes on more like a gel or a lip tint without the sticky feeling of a lip gloss. In fact, on the applicator it looks more like a lip tint than a liquid lipstick.  This texture sits right in the middle of a liquid lipstick and a gel based tint.

It goes on very easily and spreads well without settling into the fine lines.  Once worn it feels very light almost like you don’t have anything on.

Staying Power – Korres Liquid lipstick stays on me for about 5 to 6 hours after which it starts fading evenly.  At the end of 8 hours there is a barely perceptible stain on the lips.  I think the lighter shades will turn up fading a lot faster based on my experience with this type of formula.

Fragrance – Like other Korres lip products this has a funny mild scent that I really can’t place. Funnily it smells like cardboard to me – but it is not at all offensive.  Just takes some time to get used to.

Overall Thoughts

This is another of the many berry toned lip shades that I posses – but comes close to the top 5 in my list of favorite shades.  I like how easily I can wear this without drawing too much attention. The formula of Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick also works for me, somewhere between a gel and a cream.
