I am kind of into cream blushes these days, thanks to my super dry skin. I love how the cream blushes add a natural healthy glow to the skin. I never used to like them as much as I do now, maybe because of the application process and all but now when I need anything or everything that has cream base, application doesn’t seem that difficult. I was at Kiko Store the other day and the makeup assistant applied Kiko Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush on me. I loved the shade Rose Mauve as well as the quite natural looking finish.
Radiant finish stick blush. The formula is enriched with African walnut oil and soothing pistachio extract. The soft and creamy texture melts flawlessly into the skin During application, it ensures great coverage and excellent blendability. Pleasant to the touch, application is easy and precise. The skin appears radiant.
Shade – I picked Rose Mauve , which true to its name is a dusty pink with mauve tone. This shade would look absolutely beautiful on medium complexion, on me I need a bit of layering but result is gorgeous. It looks absolutely natural and since it is a matte formula, you can wear it anytime even for work. The shade might not show up well on darker complexions though.
Texture & Formula – The texture is matte but smooth. It applies nicely without being too slippery or overly glossy. Formula is creamy and dries semi-matte. I like how it doesn’t cling on to dry patches on my cheeks and looks natural. I would love to have same shade in powder formula for sure.
I use a stippling brush or makeup sponge to blend it. The formula doesn’t take much time to blend and disappear into the skin. Alternatively you can always use fingers to blend it.
Pigmentation – The above swatch is one swipe of Kiko Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush Rose Mauve. The shade might look subdued based on your complexion but layering is easy and works perfectly for my complexion.
Staying Power – 5-7 hours based on whether you apply it on bare skin or on top of foundation.
Kiko Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush 08 Rose Mauve is priced at Rs 950 (approx)
Overall Thoughts
I am very happy with the shade, texture & blend ability of the product. Kiko Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush is a must have for those who love a good cream blush that isn’t too slippery or glossy.
