#KhulkekheloHoli Contest : Win 5 Parachute Advansed Holi Hampers

Holi is such a colourful festival and for me it has a lot more attached to it than just any other Indian festival. Its one of the festivals I used to look forward to, I still enjoy it but the memories of my childhood are some of the best ones. The preparations that my mother used to start a week before holi, the sweets we used to make sitting overnight, the whole family used to be a part of the preparation. It was so much fun, with everyone smiling and sharing the work.

I saw the new #KhulKeKheloHoli TVC of Parachute Advansed, it made me smile and touched my heart. The joy this festival of colors brings to everyone’s face is priceless. This festival is all about leaving all the inhibitions behind, and just enjoy without thinking twice, of course with laughter & love. Little bit of color never hurts ..

I remembered how I as a kid used to wait impatiently for the holi to begin and then spending entire day visiting friends houses, greeting everyone, eating sweets and that celebration used to go on till the evening. I still enjoy holi, it brings back so many memories and now I have a daughter who loves this festival as much as I do.. However now the holi is not only about pouring water on each other, it is much more than that. Meeting old friends and a get together, playing with colors, having fun !

Also I remember applying Parachute hair oil in the morning to avoid getting scalp & hair stained by colors. Also oiling hair in advance prevents the damage done by harsh chemicals present in the colors.

Now the fun part,  You can participate in #KhulkekheloHoli Contest where 5 winners will get a special Holi hamper from Parachute Advansed Oil a day before holi.

Rules –

  1. Watch the Parachute Advansed TVC here and share your Khulke Khelo childhood memories in the comment below.
  2. Share the TVC on any of your social media channels with #KhulkekheloHoli hashtag
  3. Contest duration is from today evening to Sunday 20th March
  4. 5 best entries will be announced on the blog on 20th March evening.

Goodluck

Such an amazing Giveaway bcoz it brings out all my childhood memories back… Holi the festival of Love and Colour …Mouthful of sweets, streets with various colours OMG… I just Love playing Holi every year.. bcoz this is the festival which brings all my friends and relatives together… As a child, I used to wake up at 5 o’clock in the morning and start filling all the balloons with water and keep them in a bucket… when everyone starts gathering together i used to splash Holi colours on them such a fun it was…. My grand parents used to force all of us to apply coconut oil before playing holi.. They used to apply a thick layer of coconut oil on hair, face and body as to protect our hair and body from getting damage bcoz of the chemicals which are used in the colours…

Once we took shower we used to apply rose water on our face and body… Can never forget those memories… Thanks for bringing back such beautiful memories… Happy HOLI Guys… Have a memorable HOLI this year too…

Being a single family we played holi not with our relatives but with our neighbours, watchman,Maid, etc. Every year holi is fun in our building with all the people getting together and having fun with lots of thandai and mithai.
When I was a child we used to wake up early in the morning fill up all balloons with colour water and store them in the bucket. And throw them on every passerby on the road. It was fun. Also since all the building people got together it was fun forcing everyone to come out of their flats and play holi. And parachute has always been a boon on holi. Helping get rid of those harmful colours and protecting my hair.

Holii has been one of my favorite festival since childhood. its a festival of colors, so playing with colors, balloon full of colorful water with my friends, cousins is one of my favorite childhood memories. Since childhood, my mom always wanted me to have long hair, during holi, she was always concerned about my hair the most. I still remember how she used to apply layer of coconut based oil as a protective layer and tie my hair in a bun or a braid. Being home after playing holi, she liked to pamper my hair with giving me massage with coconut based hair oil. And this regime is still the same. I love my mom for being so careful towards my hair. And yeah, Happy Holiii 😀 #KhulKeKheloHoli

Holi, the festival of bright and gorgeous colours, water balloons, glorious gujiyas and catchy Bollywood songs. I would wake up as early as possible and get dressed in my most disposable clothing. Followed by that, my family, friends, and I would gather to size up each other’s color inventory and color guns, balloons, and vessels. Some would have water guns with amazing range and aim, and others not so much! I’d spend the whole day playing with colors, and the celebration would wind down as the sun set. After the day celebration was over, the nights were usually filled with prayer, good conversation, and amazing food! That pretty much wrapped up the whole day!

#Khulkekheloholi There is no age limit to play holi. No matter how old are you its never too late to bring out your inner child.
“Holi” is one of the most popular festival celebrated in India . Peoples belonging to all castes and creed celebrate “Holi”.
We all celebrate the festival of Holi with our near and dear ones.

I remember my childhood days when I celebrate holi with lots of josh its like khulke. We used to make toli and play with colors and water balloons. We used to dance on crazy peepy song till we get tired. Gujiya, Mal pua yummy dishes in break fast and lunch on holi these all my sweetest memories related to bachap ki holi

But , as we all know during Holi a large amount of water is wasted which is not at all good . 🙁
Water should not be wasted but should be conserved as it is a very important material required by every living being including – human beings , animals and plants so we should conserve as life without water is impossible.

So decided to play eco friendly holi with chemical free gulal and chandan powder

inspite of wasting our money in buying expensive infectious colours and balloons we all should save money by playing Holi with eco friendly products and we all should help the poor peoples with that money,

#KhulKeKheloHoli Even after 16 years of my marriage, the Holi festival brings with it the most colorful memories of my childhood. It was the time when we were free to roam painted in colors, gorging on Holi delicacies and having fun together!

The most of my vivid Holi memories come from the fact that I was lucky enough to be born and brought up in a joint family. The festival which is known to bring people together used to bond us all more closely to each other.

My fondest memory is that of my father filling balloons with water early in the morning. We’d go up to the terrace and throw balloons on each other . Among the gang, there were some cousins who used to close themselves behind the doors of their rooms and we used to treat it as a big accomplishment to paint them with colors once they open the door and say #BuraNaManoHoliHai! The music was played loudly with the Holi specials, Rang Barse being the official Holi legend! This used to continue for what seemed as hours. After when everyone gets tired, it was the time to go downstairs and finally remove the colors. My mother used to prepare various home-made scrubs so that the color can come out easily . My favourite delicacy for Holi is Gujiya. My mom makes the best Gujiyas and I cant wait for Holi to eat the Gujiyas.

#khulkekheloholi Festival of color is very dear to me me and my friends did lot of preparation one day before holi, Early morning me and my brother wore our old cloths and prepareed color water and had yummy mal pua in break fast was the sweetest memories attached with holi, we celebrated holi in park with other society members. Once a drunked came in our society and mine gang though him in the pool that was really funny.

This year I am planning to celebrate eco – friendly dry Holi with my friends and family. Instead of colours,I am going to play Holi with the colourful petals of beautiful spring flowers. This is the best way to celebrate Holi without wasting and contaminating precious water. Also me and my family visiting old age home to celebrate this colorful festival with our elders and this way you I can make my Holi celebration unique filled with colours of joy, love and happiness. At the same time I can also do some good deeds and make others happy.

#‎KhulkeKheloHoli‬ Holi has always been one of my favourite festival since childhood. Me with all my siblings and friends used to wait whole year for this festival. Like every other kid we use to play with colours balloons and used to waste lots of water. But once one of my cousin read about our ecosystem in school and importance of water and I told all of us too. Since then we decided not to waste water and stopped using water balloons and colours. We used dry colours. And every year we created a theme where everyone has to show his talents using colours like making rangoli, cooking colourful food, dressing up with mix n match dresses etc. This year again we will celebrate this festival together like always and this year I am showcasing the colourfull puppets i made from my old clothes. It’s fun and we enjoy doing it and our kids too love that and they are always excited about the event. And they too do the same. We will meet and put teeka to everyone and little gulal on the cheeks without which holi is incomplete and then we sing our folk holi songs. … I love them too much… and then our little exhibition followed by full on dance and food. This way we enjoy our holi and forward a message to everyone that you can enjoy holi without wasting water.

    Hi Shalini,

Happy Holi in advance & thank you for hosting such great contests…

#KhulKeKheloHoli My Khulke Khelo Holi memory is around 30 years back. It was my first holi in my in-laws home. Everybody including my husband was not in a mood to play holi & i was really suprised that why they all don’t play such a colourful festival. But the real surprise came to me on the day of Holi when all my brother in law asked me to close my eyes & gave me a gunjiya to eat. I ate it like a good bhabhi & it really tasted yuck. When i opened my eyes & saw it also has colours in it along with the filling, they yelled at me saying “HOLI HAI BHAI HOLI HAI; BURA NA MANO HOLI HAI ”

The feeling was just disgusting at that time but i dismissed it by treating it in a light-hearted way. After this incident, we were in full swing as we all started applying colour on each other’s face.We had a blast of colours, splashed a lot of water on each other & had an awesome time.

This unexpected celebration of Holi & me on their hitlist was indeed my bestest memory, because we all to love to act that why all of the other people are targeting us but deep inside we love the feeling as we are the centre of attraction for all. When i narrated this incident to my sister, mother; they laughed out so loud on me that i feel so embarassed that how could i be so stupid & ate that awe gunjiya without uttering a word…So pitty of me, but i certainly feel that these are those wonderful memories which last forever in our mind as though they happened yesterday only & i personally love to make such delightful memories everytime i am with my family….

    Regards,

#KhulKeKheloHoli 2-3 days before approaching Holi, i with my girl gang used to splash water on the people of Roads in our city.We were around 5-6 cousin sisters together. I remember this incident while we were splashing water one day before Holi i.e. Choti Holi,we throwed a balloon filled with dark fuschia coloured water on road & it got fired wrongly & went on a police Personnel who was passing by. The moment he got hit, we all hide ourselves from the balcony pretending we haven’t did anything. But suddenly what we was hearing, the police person was banging the door of my house so hardly that he would break it…With such lot of noise, all the neighbours & my father arrived. They tried to calm him but he was not ready to listen to anyone & was shouting on full volume. We all cousins were in prayer mode that Oh God! please listen to us and safeguard us…We all were just shivering badly. But then my dad come upstairs & we got a very good scolding for playing holi a day before from him after which we all got into our shells as we all decided not to play Holi the next day in anger. But next day, my dad came & made us understand the whole issue in simple terms. He said today is the day to enjoy holi, u can do whatever u want, however u want…As we were children, we forgot the woes & started playing Holi with all enthusiam & is continuing that till now…This is the deadliest memory of mine of Holi but it is by far the best too…What else we demand from lyf when we get scolding & love from papa the same day along with gunjiyas, samosas, kachori…

    Hi Shalini

My #KhulkeKheloHoli moment belongs to my son’s childhood.
My son Shamit, who is allergic to smell, colors, dust n insect bites since birth, develops severe problems every time he comes in contact with any of these by chance. Despite his extreme craze for Holi, we could never allow him to play with colors. But as he grew up, it got actually impossible to convince him stay locked inside the house and see his friends enjoy the festival.
Last year, just before a week from Holi, the teary eyed boy requested me politely “mumma, please buy me some good quality colors (he meant to say organic colors) and I promise not to go out with friends, but will enjoy would enjoy Holi only wid u and dad carefully,”
My hubby insisted me to find a solution, for little boy’s happiness matter to us. To surprise my boy, I boiled and sieved petals of flowers and vegetable wastes like beetroot, spinach etc. at home to turn them into liquid colored extract & dried orange peels to make safe, organic and harmless dry colors..
Three of us (me, hubby and our son) enjoyed Holi in each others affectionate companionship. Seeing my little one all drenched in hues of Hope, Affection, Positivity, Enthusiasm and Liveliness that day will always be #KhulkeKheloHoli moment for me as a mom.
May this festival of colours add every possible color to his life always!!

Thank you for the yet another wonderful giveaway …

Holi Is the time when all family members meet and tasty food and play our heart out.. #KhulKeKheloHoli

I remember when i was like 12 years old , all of us were playing holi, with colour water, pichkari, water pipes and all.. it was like 4 oclock so we thought its time to wrap up , so like at 7 or so we all got washed up all ready and time to sit down and chat… Just Our cousin came from another city made all of us play again Holi, I mean we were done for the day, But he wouldnt take no for an answer, washed us all form color water and it was party again.. which lasted till late night..
Even everyone got nice scolding from elders but, Bura na mano Holi hai.. 😛
I remember as i played holi twice same day , I got cold, and was unwell for a whole week .. but it was most memorable holi we had in our Joint family , as later every one went to their college hostels and we never had such holi till date..

I would like to share my most fun holi moment with my dad. My dad is a traditional person & hence he doesn’t like me hugging him. Every time I hug him he says to stay away from him & I should stop doing that. But then on holi I hugged him as I had put the holi colours on him. But the minute I hugged him he started shouting asking my mom to come to rescue him. That same very evening after we had dinner as I was reading a book sitting besides him. He said to me slowly to get married. I wondered why & asked him the reason for saying that. He then told me, “If you want to hug some one everyday you can do it to your husband as I am not a modern dad to get hugged by you. I just don’t like it! Not even on holi. Do you understand that clearly!” As I heard that I just couldn’t stop laughing. This was like 10 years ago but till date on holi I remember this & it makes me laugh & very happy too. Whatever it may be I just totally love my dad. He is the SuperBest of all! It’s real fun & a complete joy to have a dad like that 🙂 #KhulkekheloHoli
