Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique Review Photos

Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique  (Rs 2000 for 150ml) Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique - Review

Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique is a leave in conditioner for Dry to Very dry hair.  It is supposed to have a heat-styling protective agent to make it easy to use heat styling tools like a hair dryer or a flat iron without damaging your hair.

Now I think all the good genes I inherited went to my skin, keeping it young relatively problem free- and the bad ones to my hair.  I have dry, frizzy, fine yet unmanageable hair.  I actually grab a clip and put it all up the minute I wake up so no one has to be subjected to the horrible monstrosity that it is.  Needless to say, a leave in conditioner is a staple in my vanity that I cannot live without.  Seriously.

Texture and Use

The Nectar Thermique comes in a tube with a flip top like that of a conditioner tube, opening at the base.  This is essential since it is quite thick and almost mask like. Anyone who has used a hair mask form the Loreal Professional range will find this texture familiar.

It is super thick and heavy but you only need a really tiny amount.  I have short hair, that goes up to my shoulders and I use a really tiny bit – smaller than a 25p coin.  I normally put this on wet hair but towel dried hair.  Sometimes, I skip the towel dry and put it straight on the wet hair, and find that this has made no difference to the overall performance of the product.

The Nectar Thermique spreads very easily and quickly and you almost feel that you had nothing on your palms once you run them through your hair.  I have, on occasion used this on dry hair as well, just before using my hair dryer to style it better.   I find it works just as well.

I normally blow dry my hair and I find that using Nectar Thermique has made a huge difference in the texture of my hair.  It still shines even though it has been subjected to high levels of heat.  The hair falls more gracefully and I actually see curls forming instead of dry frizz.

Overall Thoughts

I’ve used other products that come close to this – (most notably the Loreal Professional Techniart Supreme Smooth) but nothing really compares to the overall hold and finish that Nectar Thermique gives.  While the Loreal Professional product is a really good dupe if you want something cheaper, it will work if you have reasonably healthy hair.  The Nectar Thermique is more like an Industrial strength leave in, that will work wonders on tired, dry and really bad hair.  If that sounds like you, try it, you will definitely be hooked.
