What about an organic lip balm/ moisturiser with lovely tint? I am a lip balm person and go through them like crazy. I have already tried couple of Island Kiss Lip Moisturiser in the past and loved them specially Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender variant. The balms have a nice smooth feel and very moisturising. The brand has launched two new stains/ colors and I am going to talk about them today.
First of all I LOVE the packaging ! Its vintage-ish and quirky with bright bold colors. The tubes are colored and represent the stain inside, so if you have more than one (like I do) finding your choice of stain wouldn’t be much of an issue. Tubes are squeeze ones with a plastic slant tip, I like such tips its easier to apply and get even color on the lips. The boxes they come in are also beautiful with details about the fragrance and ingredients list mentioned. Island Kiss Lip Moisturiser Stains do make for an interesting gift too IMO.
Now back to the new stains. I have received both of them – Flamingo Pink and Peonies and Black Rose & Grenade Rouge
Flamingo Pink & Peonies is a peachy pink stain, I prefer this one over the other. This one gives a beautiful natural quite subtle tint to the lips. If you are looking for a subdued daytime lip stain then do give this one a shot. I like the mild scent of this one as well as the moisturising power. I have been using it daily ever since I received it.
Left To Right : Flamingo Pink & Peonies , Black Rose & Grenade Rouge
Black Rose & Grenade Rouge is a cherry red lip stain, quite an intense one. You can consider it as a sheer moisturising lipstick, yeah its that pigmented. The only thing I dislike about this variant is the scent. It has a strong Ittar like fragrance which is something I don’t prefer. When it comes to lip products I go for mild scents, anything too strong can make me gag.
