A quirky packaging surely perks up the mood. I am a lip balm junkie and have more than 20 lip balms in my drawers, infact I have one in my hand bag, one in the car, one on the vanity & one under the pillow. Yeah thats the amount of lip balm I use . My lips are forever dry and I hate licking them to get rid of the stretchy-feeling. Also to prevent them from cracking and looking gross I make sure to layer lip balm every now and then. Since I was heavy handed on lip balm application, thought of trying out some organic , no-nasty-chemical lip balms by Island Kiss. Island Kiss Lip Moisturisers are Pure, Raw, Healing, Vegan, Organic, Non-toxic, Edible, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Shea Free. I have 3 of them at the moment and today’s review will be all about the two variants I am trying & loving these days !

Island Kiss Lip Moisturisers come in quirky & vintage-looking cardboard packaging. The lip balms are in tube form, which is my favorite type since you can control the amount of product coming out of the tube and application is much more easier. The tubes also have fun graphics which looks almost fun, sexy & girly !

The two variants I have tried in the past 3 weeks are –

Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender Lip Moisturiser – Its lightly tinted lip balm. I love the vanilla fragrance and how soothing & balmy it feels on the lips. I am literally addicted to this one ! I wouldn’t lie.. The lip balm has a slightly runny formula, it spreads nicely and instantly moisturised lips. However you have to reapply it after regular intervals. The tint is enough not to make your lips appear naked & glossy (which I detest) and perfect for everyday. Since it is slightly slippery, you have to wipe off the excess before applying a lipstick on the top.

Puerto Berry Blush Lip Moisturiser – Well this one is quite tinted, infact a lot of tint is going on here. I apply a light layer or take it on the finger tip and then apply on the lips. I don’t like strongly tinted lips for everyday however if you are a college girl or looking for something to wear underneath your lipstick then give this one a shot. The tint is  of cherry color. For some reasons I don’t find it as moisturising as Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender Lip Moisturiser so I don’t reach out for it as much as I should.

Overall Thoughts

I will highly recommend Alma Vanilla & Inges Lavender Lip Moisturiser which is my favorite. Island Kiss Lip Moisturisers are all natural and thats all we need right ?
