IsaDora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick Review – Bare Cashmere, Cool Mauve, Dolce Rose

There was a time when I was crazy about matte liquid lipsticks and had numerous of them from various brands. The fun of a long wearing color that doesn’t transfer & needs no retouching is immense. However the flip side is the drying formula. If you wear such liquid lipsticks back to back or daily, your lips will become dry as desert, no matter how much you exfoliate or moisturise them. Thats why I had stopped wearing them until IsaDora Ultra MAtt Liquid Lipstick came into my hands –

A liquid lipstick with an intense matt effect that combines the fluid lightness of a gloss and the rich color of a lipstick! Highly pigmented formula with a super long lasting hold and a light, fluffy cream texture that leaves an imperceptible feel on the lips. Sculpted applicator tip for a precise and contour proof application. 

Packaging – Classic plastic tubes with black caps. The shade name is written on the cap . The tube is see-through and makes it easier for users to find the shade of their choice from a heap of shades. The wand is spongy slightly pointy and curved, and it hugs the curves of the lips and reaches the corners for a precise application. You get 7 ml which is a good quantity. 

Shades – I have 3 shades that are absolutely beautiful and perfect for medium-deeper complexions as an everyday color. My favourite is cool mauve which is a perfect MLBB (my lips but better) shade for me –

Texture & Formula – The formula is smooth & creamy. It goes on smoothly without clumps & streaks. I have used all the 3 shades and even the lighter (Dolce Rose) doesn’t look streaky. The texture is very lightweight and you can’t feel it on the lips. The formula sets in few seconds and stays put for a long time without turning patchy.

Top To Bottom – Cool Mauve, Dolce Rose, Bare Cashmere

It does feel a little tacky even after drying. It doesn’t get patchy when you press lips together. IsaDora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick doesn’t make lips dry and feel so moisturising throughout the wear. The color doesn’t crack or settle in lip lines. The formula is fragrance free and clinically tested.

Pigmentation – This is the only downside, I find the formula of IsaDora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick medium opaque. If you have pigmented lips, you might have to layer it twice or thrice.

Staying Power – IsaDora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick stays on for good 6-7 hours on me. It doesn’t peel or turn patchy even after meals. It fades gradually & evenly.

Overall Thoughts

Cool Mauve from IsaDora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick range is my current favourite shade. I like the comfortable non drying yet long wearing formula. The finish is smooth & texture is creamy. It sets quickly and stays on for a really long time without turning patchy. Only downside would be the pigmentation for me.
