Innisfree Long Wear Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ Review Price Photos

Cushion foundations are all in rage these days. Most of the brands have come up with one, but it is always known as the invention of korean brands. Innisfree being the first one to come up with such an innovation. I always find the whole concept quite interesting but the unavailability of darker shades used to pull me back.This time when I was sent Innisfree Long Wear Cushion Foundation, the shade (which is quite dark) made me ecstatic.

Packaging : Innisfree Long Wear Cushion Foundation comes in a round off-white plastic compact. The compact has a mirror and sponge, also the actual sponge/cushion has another lid that protects it from spilling or catching dirt. The cushion is saturated with foundation and you have to press a brush/ sponge in it to get the product out. Quite effective and travel friendly also good for touch ups.

Shade – I have no 31 which is a good match. I was very happy to see that the brand has come up with the shades suitable for indian complexion. The shade looks quite dark if you look at the cushion but actually it is 2 shades lighter. It matches me quite well and due to high spf content it does look slightly whitish, the way some sunscreens look. But after a light dusting of tinted loose powder or regular compact powder it goes away.

Texture & Formula – The actual product is quite liquid-y in consistency which makes it blend almost immediately. As directed on the back of the compact I dab it on the skin using the sponge (that comes with the foundation), however I don’t find it that effective. So I most of the times end up using makeup sponge or foundation brush to blend the product into the skin.

On the darker parts of my face it does look light but that is something I always face with most of the foundations. I am glad that the Innisfree Long Wear Cushion has yellow tones, which makes it adjust to my complexion perfectly. Formula is so light that you wouldn’t even feel it on your skin. Perfect for everyday !

Pigmentation – I would call it a light to medium coverage foundation. Since the product is quite sheer, it looks very natural! However if you have scars or blemishes , using an additional concealer is something I will recommend.

Staying Power – This is area where Innisfree Long Wear Cushion excels. It stays on me for good 7+ hours with almost no touchups. I sweat a lot around my mouth and nose and those are the areas that need a bit of touch ups. The product doesn’t look cake-y and feels like second skin.

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for a long wearing, natural looking everyday foundation then do give this one a try.Innisfree Long Wear Cushion looks natural and is very light weight. If you have oily skin then a light dusting of powder is required to get rid of the shine. The compact itself is quite travel and hand-bag friendly. The high spf makes it perfect for daily use.
