Shade 51 would suit MAC NC 42 people, I am NC 44 (Which is tad dark for me) and this is a tad light for my skintone. I wonder why MAC always gives me a shade darker and Inglot a shade lighter 😮
When I visited Inglot Store almost 2 months back, SA very happily showed me the foundations available and after asking my skin type, handed me YSM foundation. He applied it on my face, I realized that shade 51 was bit light for my skin tone, upon asking he said it will blend into the skin in 10-15 mins ! He was not entirely right. This still looks light whether I wait for 15 mins or 15 hours. How stupid!!
Texture & Formula – Texture of Inglot YSM Cream foundation is neither thick nor runny. It spreads evenly and blends into the skin quickly. On me finish looks quite matte. Formula is neither drying nor moisturising but highlights dry patches if you have any. I had couple of dry patches around my nose and hence never used it during winters but it works fine in current weather when its neither too hot or cold.
Coverage – It provides medium coverage. I don’t have blemishes or scars, just a bit of discoloration and it hides them + even outs the skin immediately. It photographs well.
You can see in 2nd photograph that it looks bit light on my skin but once i am done with whole face makeup (3rd) it doesn’t look much obvious.
Staying Power – It stays up to 7 hours on me. I haven’t felt the need of applying a primer underneath, will see how it performance during summers.
Overall thoughts
A medium coverage foundation which feels light on skin. It spreads and blends easily, evens out skin tone and stays upto 7-8 hours. The best part is that Inglot has number of shades available in this range to choose from. Do not forget to moisturize your face well before using it during winters. Its not a must have in my opinion since it costs bit high and works the way any other medium coverage foundation does.

We have a very similar skin tone and I am looking for the correct shade in this foundation for me, but I have to purchase online as we don’t have Inglot where I am. If shade 51 is too light, what is the next shade up? Or is that too dark for you (ie would it be more NC45?) Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!
