Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks 62 & 75 Review Photos Swatches

A lot of you are familiar with Inglot Freedom System Lipstick pans but I came to know about it early in my college life. At that moment they were wrapping up with the round pans and were launching the square pans and they also increased the price then. I fortunately got hold of two round pans in colours I liked and ordered those quick enough. While the Freedom System Lipsticks round pans were 300 INR for 1.2gms, the square pans came in at 400INR for 1.8gms! And God, they have taken it to 450INR now! A price and quantity hike we never needed.

Packaging– My lipsticks came in round metal pans which were housed in a click-lock square plastic casing. You can store the pans in these casing as these were re-sealable. This lot was packed in another paper box casing with Inglot’s signature white accents on black base.

Shade– 62 is a beautiful peachy brown shade with enough pink pigments to brighten up your face. It can be an MLBB shade for many but on me it leans towards a soft brown colour with notable peach undertones. It is suitable for fair to medium skin tones.

75 is a chocolate brown shade that is not too dark on me but is enough dark to be prominent. I hate brown lipsticks but I was surprised to see how good I looked with this on. I have worn this quite often and so has my cousin. (Please excuse the sorry state of my pan!). It will be a great shade for medium to deeper skin tones.

Texture- These Freedom System Lipsticks are super creamy and apply very smoothly on my lips. It has a very strong scent, maybe vanilla or maybe something quite annoying which I hate. The worst part is, the smell lingers on and does not fade off. After applying the lipstick everything around me smells of the lipstick which is quite an eew(!) part for me.

Pigmentation & Finish- The lipsticks are very pigmented and 2 swipes with a brush gives decent coverage. The finish is semi-matte but the formula is not exactly moisturizing on my lips. It does not bleed and fades evenly too. These are best removed with micellar lotion as it tends to leave a stain. (Even the stains smell, you see!)

Staying Power– The staying power is quite good. Being a light colour, 62 stayed on me for 3 hours while 75 being a dark colour stayed on for around 4 hours without any meals or snacking in between.

Overall Thoughts

For those busy days when there is no time for makeup I love to put these shades on as these gives quite a natural look to my face. Also there is no tension of reapplying as it stays around for a decent amount of time. The only problem is the annoying smell and that a brush is always required for application with these Freedom System Lipsticks.

I also hate the fact that they are taking the prices to such an exorbitant level that the reason for buying small refills so as to not burn a hole in the pocket will no longer be valid anymore. 450 INR for 1.8 gms is no more an affordable option. Crème lipsticks at 400-600 INR for 3-4 gms are rocking the market with their performance. I have received many compliments on how luscious my lips look, wearing 62! Haha. Something I thought I should mention if that is of any use to you, of course!
