Our love for staycations or staying close to the city pushes us to explore hotels in & around delhi/NCR. During one of our holidays we chose Hyatt Regency Gurgaon , which is a 5 star hotel and indeed a beautiful property !
Hyatt Regency Gurgaon is situated off the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway 8. Located thirty minutes from the Indira Gandhi International Airport and fifteen minutes from Gurgaon city centre, the hotel is an ideal weekend getaway for Delhi NCR. We decided to go by own transport (car) and it took us almost one and a half hour to reach there. The drive was swift with not much traffic since we started quite early in the morning.
The hotel has valet parking. The lobby area is quite grand and we were there around christmas time. My daughter was all ecstatic and went from one ginger bread house to other requesting me to click her pictures with them. There was a beautiful christmas tree placed in the centre of the lobby adorned with baubles.
The hotel houses the highest number of rooms in Gurgaon with 451 well-appointed spacious guestrooms which include 37 luxurious suites. The room we stayed in was beautiful ! It was spacious, overlooking the pool area. We loved the view as well as the natural light that kept the room lit till the sunset ! I love big , well lit rooms while travelling with kid. She had plenty of space to run around and play.
Room had LCD, Electric kettle , water & fruits. The bed was comfortable and floor had carpet, if that matters to you, because it does to me. The bath area was huge with a bath tub and shower cubicle apart from vanity area & commode. The toiletries were from in-house brand “aqua” , they smelled nice.
All the guest rooms have complimentary wifi, high speed internet is a must for me even when I am on vacation. I have to keep connected so that work doesn’t suffer.
We had out breakfast, lunch & dinner buffet at Kitchen district which is a multi cuisine fine dinning restaurant in Hyatt Regency Gurgaon. The restaurant is quite huge with separate counter for each cuisine. It was street food special the day we stayed in and I got a chance to taste keema-pao, bhelpuri, chole-tikki, gol-gappe etc. I also thoroughly enjoyed the asian cuisine, the dim sums were juicy & delicious. Not to forget the wide spread dessert counter , it had christmas cookies and a lot of indian as well as international sweets. My daughter went crazy and gorged on sweets only.
I also didn’t miss the chance to experience rejuvenating spa session as Shvasa Spa which made the stay bit more relaxing for me. You can read more about the experience .
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Regency Gurgaon. The hotel isn’t in delhi so the travelling makes you feel like you are going to a different city when you aren’t. I loved the food, room service & everything about the hotel. Highly recommended.
