Choosing a red lipstick can be tricky and daunting especially when you are just starting out. I remember dreading that shade 3 years ago, however one fine day, I decided to be brave and try one shade, which was sheer. And from that day I haven’t looked back ! If you are a beginner try out different textures to see what suits you the most e.g. if you think red is too bold for you, start with a sheerer formula like L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Lip Color , these are quite hydrating & give sheer wash of color. Its the best way to start out and make yourself comfortable. I really Like Rouge Soprano from this range – Its a perfect red for medium-deeper skintones, neither too dark nor too bright !

If you love Liquid Lip Colors and find the easy to apply & moisturizing, then try L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Matte Lip Color. These are richly pigmented matte lip colors, that offer semi-matte finish with creamy texture. My favorite shade is Pigale Scarlet – A deep red which would compliment all skintones.

For those who love cream finishes would love what Color Riche range has to offer. I am in love with the formula of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipsticks. These are creamy, opaque and offer good staying power. Packaging itself is so classy. These are the classic range of lipsticks from L’Oreal Paris. I am in love with – Carmin St.Germain, Perfect Red  & Cocorico (matte) which is a beautiful berry toned red. Berry isn’t much visible once you have it on !

If you love matte finish then color riche has a lot to offer ! There velvet matte lipsticks are hands down the best I have ever tried. I have entire Collection Star range that has a wide variety of reds, infact you can find your kind of red from this range for sure. I love the silky velvetty formula and the matte finish, which isn’t drying like regular matte lipsticks. My favorite shades are – Pure Amaranthe, Pure Scarleto, Pure Rouge & Pure Garnet 

Pure Scarleto is a bright red that can brighten up anyone’s complexion instantly. I really like this one.

Pure Rouge is a classic red lip color which suits all skintones and specially medium-deeper complexions a lot !

Pure Garnet is a perfect deeper burgundy red shade suitable for colder/ fall months. This is another favorite of mine from the Collection Star Range is is represented by Sonam Kapoor 🙂

Also if you love velvet matte finish and amazing staying power, I will highly recommend Victorian Rose, which is one of my favorite reds in the whole wide world. Its a beautiful bright red and lifts up the mood. Red is a shade which represents fierce, bold & confident woman.
