Hourglass Iridescent Flash Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Review

Hourglass is one brand I always wanted to try. But because of the availability as well price I never dared to buy anything. However last month one of my friends visited UK and I asked her to get Hourglass Iridescent Flash Blush for me. I wasn’t sure if the color would dark enough to show up on my skin or not. I am happy that it didn’t disappoint me at all.

Features – 

The airy, lightweight blushes fuse the illuminating effects. The hand-made powders are formulated using an advanced miscelare technique – which means “to mix” in Italian – creating the perfect balance of pigment and powder, and no two look alike. Delivers a natural radiant finish with build able color. 

Packaging is gorgeous ! It comes in this luxurious metallic case with a mirror inside. The case hourglass written on the front and shade name on the back. Also the pattern will be ruined if you swirl your finger in the pan 🙁 a brush doesn’t mess it up though. 

Shade – Hourglass Iridescent Flash is a gorgeous bright pink ! I was skeptical in the beginning since it looked lighter in swatches, but after swatching it on my arm and couple of times wearing on the face I am glad that I picked this shade. It looks so good on face and gives that natural flushes luminous look ! 

Texture & Formula – It has a finely milled iridescent finish. I love the diffused effect it gives to the cheeks, the color despite of being bright doesn’t look overwhelming. I can layer it up without emphasising on the pores of texture of the skin. Best if to use light strokes and build the color.

Finish is luminous. There is subtle shimmer present but it doesn’t look chunky or glittery on the cheeks. I prefer not to wear a separate highlighter in the day time and a nice satin finish blush does the job for me. Hourglass Iridescent Flash is one step ahead and a cross between satin & shimmer finish.

Pigmentation – Very well pigmented, the shade should be used with a light hand.

Staying Power – Superb ! Good 7+ hours on me 🙂

Overall Thoughts 

This is my first purchase from hourglass and I can’t wait to try more of their makeup, especially Ambient Lighting powders. Hourglass Iridescent Flash is a gorgeous pink that would suit medium deeper complexions beautifully.
