The pimples pop out from nowhere and I am left with bumpy face now and then. This time I make the best out of foaming cleansers. I don’t like the dry tight feel of foam washes. I keep away from oil cleansing products as much as possible.

I have always had good relationship with Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash. That’s the reason I decided to go for it’s near cousin, Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash.

I have almost finished it off; just a little product is there in the bottle. I thought this is about time I share my likes and dislikes on this face wash. Here comes the detailed review.

About Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash

Himalaya’s Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash, developed after extensive research, is a combination of Neem and Turmeric. Neem is well-known for its antibacterial, antiviral and germicidal properties, which help control acne, pimples and prevent their recurrence. Turmeric has antiseptic characteristics along with skin-soothing properties.

Features:

2. Prevents occurrence of pimples

Packaging: This face wash comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a wide-mouth pump dispenser. The pump produces foam out of the watery liquid face wash residing in the bottle.

The tiny bottle looks cute. It is transparent; you can see how much product is left in your bottle. The cap shuts tightly over the pump and secures it from getting damaged. I bought the trial pack. It’s a travel-friendly pack. A bigger size is available for this face wash.

Colour & Consistency: It looks pale green in the bottle. As you pump it out for use, pure white foam appears from the dispenser. The consistency of the wash is very thin; almost watery.

The foam too has the same lightness to it. The formula is strictly meant for oily skin so it can be quite drying on other skin types.

Fragrance: Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash has a light floral based ayurvedic fragrance to it. If you have ever used Himalaya’s original Neem Face Wash, you’ll instantly recognize the smell.

Both the washes smell exactly same. The soothing smell makes you face cleansing experience better. The fragrance does not linger after application.

Quantity & Price: Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash sells at Rs.75 for 50ml. The price is great for a liquid-to-foam face cleanser. Plus, you get a trial size to test first.

The formula is sulphate and paraben free as well. Overall, it’s a great deal considering other foaming face washes currently available in the market for oily skin.

My Overall Thoughts:

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash was my first liquid-to-foam cleanser. I have used cream based foaming cleansers in the past. Those washes looked like thick creams.

When you rub them with water they will create thick foam. This wash is completely different from those. Here the actual cleanser is a light liquid. The dispensing system turns this into foam by pumping air in the liquid.

The foam is light and not at all creamy. This is a straight-way oil cleansing wash. As you apply the foam in your wet face, the wash dissolves the oil instantly and gives you squeaky clean skin within seconds.

Too much of this might dry out the skin so I use one pump only. I have to follow this up immediately with moisturizer. Otherwise, the skin becomes flaky and dull. My brother has very oily skin and it works like magic on his skin.

It does not prevent pimples but it does shrink them to a certain extent.

Rating: 4/5
